The seventh tournament organized by One Game Agency starts today. Eight of the best teams in the world will be fighting for that sweet $300,000 prize pool as well as qualifications points for The International 2019. The main event will be hosted at the Spaladium Arena in Split, Croatia.
As with every Minor, there will be a Group Stage and Playoffs. There will be two groups of four teams each that will play in a Best-of-three Round-Robin format. However, unlike some other events, there will be no teams that will get eliminated straight after the Group Stage.
The format of the Playoffs is double-elimination. The Lower Bracket Round 1-3 will be played in a best-of-one, whereas all the other games up to the Grand Final are Bo3. The Grand Final itself, as always, is best-of-five.
Group A
The first game of the day in Group A will be between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Royal Never Give Up. NiP are considered to be one of the favorites in this event. After all, their performance has been pretty stable during this DPC season. That’s why they make a very good betting option for all those who want to make some cash while watching this Minor.
The second series and, in my opinion, the more interesting one, is between the CIS powerhouse Gambit Esports and Boom ID. Gambit are in general considered to be one of the best teams when it comes down to Minors. They already have two Grand Finals in the last two Minors, which definitely makes them among the most lucrative betting options right now. Boom ID is a little bit unpredictable, which makes them a risky choice for your bet. However, if you feel lucky, the odds are definitely something worth considering when you choose them.
Group B
Group B is undoubtedly the more interesting one to watch because nearly all of the teams have a chance to win it. The first series of the day looks like it would be an epic fight between the West and the East. Alliance have been doing very well recently, which is one of the reasons why they are considered to be the favorite against EHOME. However, the Bucharest Minor Champions will certainly not go down without a fight. That’s why I would suggest you to keep a close eye on them as they could turn out to be a very profitable option for betting.
And last, we have Forward Gaming vs Majestic Esports. As much as I like the SA scene, FG is simply outclassing their enemies here. Unless they do some Major mistakes, losing against Majestic seems pretty much impossible.
There are many more interesting games to be played in this Minor . What’s more, just a few days after that, MDL Disneyland Paris Major also starts, which is yet another chance to try your betting success.
