The first Major of the 2019-2020 DPC is absolutely awesome. Every single series is a blast to watch. Needless to say, there are a couple of days left until the Major is over, so definitely be sure to watch if you’ve missed it so far.
Let’s take a look at which team got eliminated so far.
Unfortunately, both CIS powerhouses got eliminated in round 1 of the Lower Bracket. This is a huge shock, especially to Gambit Esports. In fact, many people considered them to be among the biggest favorites to win this tournament. However, it seems like they couldn’t live up to the expectations. Gambit esports were completely overrun by Team Aster.
Unlike Gambit, Team Adroit didn’t really have any big expectations on their shoulders. In fact, they are one of the new teams to the big scene because they’ve mainly being a part of the Tier 2 Dota scene for some time now.
EHOME’s elimination has to be one of the most disturbing ones yet. The Chinese legendary team played very well before the Major began. In fact, many people even thought that they have legitimate chances for success. Unfortunately, it all went downhilla after their poor performance in the groups.
Although they’ve managed to win against Team Spirit, EHOME didn’t stand a chance against Team Liquid. The ex-Alliance roster ripped through them like a knife through butter and eliminated them from the Major.
We can only hope that they will be able to resolve their issues for the next qualifiers.
The second Chiense team that got eliminated today is Team Aster. Although they played very well so far, Alliance was just too strong to go through.
Despite the loss, Team Aster definitely improved a lot after the roster changes that took place in the summer. It will be very interesting to see what will happen with them in the future.
