Bud Light will act as the official presenting partner of the Bud Light 2K Tournament Series. The tournament will take place in a number of locations in-and-around central Florida and is stated to offer players the opportunity to compete for “once in a lifetime opportunities.”
Joe Barnes, Director, Bud Light Sports Marketing at Anheuser-Busch spoke on the partnership in a release: “Partnering with Magic Gaming further highlights Bud Light’s commitment to the esports and gaming space. We look forward to developing innovative content and programs with the team as part of our 2020 program.”

Additionally, a co-branded streaming series will be created as part of the deal. ‘The 6 Pack’ will provide behind-the-scenes access to Magic Gaming’s players, tracking their activities in and out of the game. The series will be broadcast on Twitch later in 2020.
Ryan DeVos, Director of Magic Gaming also commented: “Magic Gaming is thrilled to have a recognizable and creative brand like Bud Light join our partnership family. We are incredibly excited for what this partnership will bring our fans and the 2K world with some unique opportunities and insights.”
In August 2019, Bud Light announced a multi-year partnership with NBA 2K League, making it the official beer partner of the league. Months prior, it became the official beer sponsor of the Overwatch League. Magic Gaming is also partnered with GAEMS, nicecactus, HyperX, GT Omega Racing, Orlando Health, Boxed Water, Papa Johns, Alienware, and Full Sail University.
Esports Insider says: Considering the prior involvement of Bud Light in the league, it’s safe to say that it’s doubling down on NBA 2K with this deal. The activations are fairly typical as this point but should still provide solid content and experiences for fans.
