Even though people didn’t expect this, TI 7 champions was able to win this amazing tournament.
After failing to qualify for the next set of DPC tournaments, Nigma wasn’t looking that good. In fact, they’ve been struggling with their performance ever since they came back from the TI 9 break.
However, they’ve somehow managed to survive the deadly Group Stage. After winning most of their games, Nigma had to go against Team Secret in the Upper Bracket. Despite showing a decent performance, it was not enough to bring down the might EU powerhouse, who ended up winning the series with a score of 2-1, sending Nigma to the lower bracket.
After surving against VP and Gambit, Nigma finally reached the Grand Finals, where they had to meet Secret yet again. Needless to say, KuroKy and his team-mates were eager to get revenge.
Sadly, the series didn’t really start as planned because Team Secret just ripped through them. They won the first two games with little to no effort, and everyone thought that they will end up as winners. However, that was not the case.
Instead, TI 7 champions rose from the ashes like a phoenix and ended up winning the series with a 3-2 score. This was not expected at all, especially considering the performance of Nigma in the previous series.
This was a very important victory for Miracle and the rest because it gave them a glimmer of hope that things will get better.
