The studio that hasn’t released a Silent Hill game since 2014 and removed the popular P.T. for no reason, says it needs NFTs to “preserve” its art. This comes from a financial report released today that stated it had an objective to allow the company to continue its application of NFT despite pushingback from fans.
The studio, which has not done anything to keep fans entertained in recent years, makes clear in the report that NFTs will continue to be part of its industry. As of now, the only series in which Konami inflicted the practice is Castlevania, but this development indicates that other franchises in the company’s catalogue can get this same treatment this year.

Having explored the different forms of digital items for sale in Konami’s different games, it has started with NFTs. The book reads, “We will also sell Non-Fungible Tokens, which are intended to preserve the quality of their memories, whose use has become a souvenir”, but also for the purpose of using this to be a commemorative art project.
The defence of NFTs as a “protective tool” caused fans to scratch their heads. Some wonder what the NFTs have exactly preserved, as the artworks from games such as Castlevania can only be shared online for the same purpose. If the artists are compensated for their work, then physical prints can be sold as cash.
However, Konami won’t profit from the practice. As of January, the company made 500.000 dollars from its Castlevania NFT auction. But the money doesn’t stop there – the studio’s will continue to be sworn a 10 percent cut of future re-sales of the NFTs. If you are like Avon, then give me answers.
Konami is the only company that hasn’t yet seen a dissatisfaction of the government’s announcement. She hasn’t released a sad video on Twitter asking for the community’s forgiveness. Konami persevered instead of going to Team 17 and GTX World and Discord. With the answer, many are wishing it hadn’t happened.
