Chess streams over here in India are getting like 20k concurrent viewers with comedians streaming it alongside GMs. Vidit Gujarathi to Samay Raina and Tanmay Bhat is what Hikaru is to xQc. People are loving chess streams and are even watching it over popular games like pubg. Making chess mainstream has been the goal of many YouTubers and players for a long time. I never thought it would actually happen but due to the great work of people like xQc who make chess look like its really fun, we might see a day where everyone understands the beauty of this sport.
