Fortnite’s 10.20 game patch came previously this week, and now developer Epic Games has rendered the famous royale shooter a few more tweaks. The 10.20.2 hotfix now lives on all platforms, fills up a couple of gameplays and changes. Read the patch notes for further details.
First, three weapons-the Combat Shotgun, the Drum Shotgun, and the Proximity Launcher-were moved into the vault, meaning that they were actually removed from the game. As usual, the guns could be re-added in future to Fortnite, but you will not find them in Battle Royale mode for the time being.
That’s not the only gun-changing thing. The Assault Unwired Rifle is accessible in epic and legendary versions. It is now accessible. The damage caused by the automatic sniper was also improved by Epic Games, Fortnite’s developer. “As compared with the other sniper rifles, the Automatic Sniper has been underperformed. That damage adjustment should make the alternative long-distance weapon more convenient,” said Epic Games.
Moreover, Epic has tweaked the contentious BRUTE mechs more; in storm phase 3–6, they will now produce less. The designer also improved the pepper “spiciness length” to 60 seconds and decreased Retail Row obelisk access. The complete update notes for the hotfix can be seen at the page of Epic below.
In the previous 10.20 content update, Fortnite’s Zapper Trap introduced a fresh item to the game and brought back another familiar feature last season: Floating Island (Floating Island). The difficulties of Fortnite Week 6 are now live, too. This set is known as Boogie Down, and most activities are about dancing. In our complete Fortnite Season you can discover maps and guides for ten problems.

B.R.U.T.E
Lowered the spawn rate of the B.R.U.T.E in Storm phases 3-6 in core modes. Arena spawn rates will remain unchanged.

Peppers
- Increased spiciness length from Peppers to a length of 60-second from a length of 20-seconds.
Retail Row
- This POI is intended to be a high-risk, high-reward drop location, but we feel the reward has outweighed the risk. By reducing the availability of Obelisks, gathering rare loot will require a little more time investment.
- Reduced the maximum number of Spawn Obelisks from 7 to 5.
- Increased the time before Spawn Obelisks respawn to a max of 30 seconds (previously a max of 5 seconds).
- The respawn timer for Spawn Obelisks is on a loop and time may vary between 1-30 seconds.
- Decreased the chance to drop Rocket Launchers from destroyed Spawn Obelisks from 18.46% to 10%
- Decreased the chance to drop Jump Pads from destroyed Spawn Obelisks from 50% to 40%
