Falcons vs Lions Betting Prop: Jared Goff NFL Week 3

by Shane Lambert

NFL fans looking for a betting prop involving a player in NFL Week 3 could focus on Jared Goff. The quarterback for the Detroit Lions will be in action in the early set of games on Sunday. His Lions will host the Atlanta Falcons. My Falcons vs Lions betting prop is to oppose Goff and his passing yards total, which has been set at 267.5. The UNDER side of the Week 3 player prop with bet365 is guarded at -135.

Atlanta vs Detroit: Recent NFL Headlines

Lots has gone wrong for Detroit over the last week. Firstly, they suffered their first loss last week against the Seattle Seahawks. The game went to overtime and the Lions weren’t in great shape after the game. Detroit’s injury report was littered with injuries this week. Heading into Sunday, there are major question marks with the team on offense.

David Montgomery is doubtful, Amon-Ra St. Brown is questionable, Josh Reynolds is questionable, and two offensive linemen are out. The only good news on the injury front for Detroit’s offense is that Frank Ragnow is in at center. But Detroit looks like they really could be out of sorts in Week 3.

Against a passing yards total of 267.5, Goff has gone 1-1 so far this season. Last week, he beat that total quite handily with 323 passing yards against the Seahawks. However, all of Detroit’s injury concerns should lead to some problems. It’s not just that he has injured receivers, it’s the whole package. You would expect the time of possession to favor Atlanta in this game. Goff could struggle with passing due to personnel problems. But he could also have fewer opportunities in the game if Detroit takes some dreaded “three and out” drives.

Falcons vs Lions Prediction: Betting Tips

Atlanta has also had pretty gone defense so far this season. Last week, they kept Jordan Love in check, the quarterback for Green Bay. Love had only 151 yards passing. He did connect for three touchdowns but he didn’t eat up the field drive after drive with passing connections. In Week 1, Bryce Young only had 146 passing yards against Atlanta. My recommendation is to take the UNDER on Goff at -135 (bet365) accordingly as 267.5 on the QB just might be 25-30 yards too much.
