Fnatic Announce f0rest As KRIMZ’s Stand-In At IEM Dallas

by The News One

Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson will not be a part of Fnatic’s IEM Dallas 2023 setup. Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg will come out of retirement to deputize for the regular Fnatic rifler

Fnatic have confirmed that Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg will be rejoining their ranks as a stand-in for the upcoming IEM Dallas tournament. The seasoned 34-year-old player will step in for Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson, who will sit out of the competition citing personal reasons.

f0rest, who previously stood in for Fnatic during the Pinnacle Cup Championship in Lund, Sweden in mid-2022, has once again taken up the role as a stand-in for the team. Fnatic debuted their revamped lineup, featuring Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi and Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen, in that competition. The roster overhaul came in response to their inability to secure a spot in the PGL Major Antwerp.

The Pinnacle Cup Championship started off on a positive note for f0rest and Fnatic, as they secured an unexpected triumph against the favored Heroic in their tournament opener. The closely fought match on Inferno ended with a narrow 16-14 scoreline favoring Fnatic. Fnatic’s journey in the tournament, however, came to an untimely end after subsequent losses against BIG and Heroic. Despite the setbacks, f0rest’s performance against BIG on Nuke shone bright, as he displayed exceptional form with a remarkable rating of 1.31.

f0rest’s Fnatic association extends beyond brief stand-in roles. He was an integral part of the organization’s Counter-Strike 1.6 lineup for over four years, from 2006 to 2010. During this extensive tenure, f0rest’s exceptional talent played a pivotal role in Fnatic’s impressive championship successes, firmly establishing him as one of the most accomplished stars in the early competitive Counter-Strike era.
