A full week of esports action at the Mid-Season Invitational has League of Legends back above 20M hours watched as Fortnite and Grand Theft Auto V see small week-to-week increases.
The following titles are ranked according to the total number of hours watched on Twitch, from Monday to the following Sunday, with data compiled using TEO Analytics.

The Esports Effect
Riot Games’
main channel may have been the top channel on Twitch to broadcast League of Legends

Other top 10 channels to broadcast the game included LoL Championship Korea, OGaming’s LoL channel (French), GarenaTW (Chinese), LVPes (Spanish), Riot Games Japan, and Riot Games Brazil.
The large variety of alternate-language broadcasts for the event comes in part because the tournament features top teams from all of LoL’s biggest and best international leagues. As the event reaches its climax this week, its international appeal will likely keep LoL at the top of Twitch.
Doubling Down
Dota 2

With both of the top two channels on Twitch this week, Dota 2 recorded more than 14M hours watched on Twitch, catapulting it into the realm of viewership that is typically only occupied by the “Just Chatting” category and titles like Fortnite
Because of the esports-driven nature of Dota 2, the title will likely see a drop in viewership in the coming weeks, but as later Majors approach, like the EPICENTER Major in Moscow next month, more spikes in viewership similar to this one can be expected.
Here to Stay?
Grand Theft Auto V made waves in the middle of March as numerous high-profile streamers joined in on the role play-centric fun and games, and after nearly two full months of the game producing notable viewership on Twitch, the game is still posting weekly hours watched totals that keep it in the top three.

While other breakout games like Apex Legends or Sea of Thieves have come and gone, GTA V has stood strong maintaining more than 10M hours watched per week for nine weeks in a row.
GTA spent most of the month of April seeing week-over-week declines in viewership as top influencers like Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar played the game less later on in the month. However, this week the game saw a jump in viewership, and endemic role play streamer “Vader” continues to see success following GTAV’s initial rise.
