League/Tournament Brands:

The Overwatch League and top League of Legends esports leagues have reclaimed spots at the top of Twitch after taking their respective mid-season breaks.

The following channels are ranked according to the total number of hours watched on Twitch Database-Link-e1521645463907, from Monday to the following Sunday, with data compiled using TEO Access.

Back in the Saddle

The Overwatch League Database-Link-e1521645463907

and League of Legends Database-Link-e1521645463907 esports made their full return this past weekend, and it’s almost as if they never took time off as the official OWL broadcast and Riot Games’ channels came in as the top two most-watched this week.

While the Mid-Season Invitational for LoL helped Riot Games’ Database-Link-e1521645463907

channel produce top-10 caliber hours watched in May, the month was less watched than February and March when the LoL Championship Series Database-Link-e1521645463907 and LoL European Championship Database-Link-e1521645463907 were in full swing.

The LCS Summer Split started last weekend, but this was the first full week of LCS and LEC action combined. As a result, the Riot Games channel produced 2.5M hours watched with a total of 55K CCV, including re-runs and peripheral coverage.

Those statistics continue a trend of consistent growth for the LoL esports leagues on Twitch that lasted throughout the Spring Split and its playoffs. The rise in viewership even bled into the international, inter-league MSI competition as well.

Three Es of Entertainment

Twitch’s official main channel only started broadcasting on Saturday this weekend, but its 18 hours of coverage for the opening conferences at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles managed to rack up 1.7M hours watched from Saturday through Monday morning.

Microsoft’s portion of the conference led the way as viewership peak at 391K concurrent viewers while the company announced plans for the Xbox One and its upcoming games.

Family First

Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris saw a surge in viewership following the release of the World of Warcraft Classic Database-Link-e1521645463907 beta, and from May 15-31, no other channel produced as many hours watched (6.7M) as he did for his WoW streams.

However, unfortunate timing on a family vacation has taken Morris away from his computer and pushed him out of the top 10 for the first time since the Classic beta began.

Though Morris’ absence could potentially be beneficial for a streamer like “Asmongold,” who has also consistently been a top-10 streamer since Classic beta testing started, his viewership has stayed consistent.

His most-watched stream of the week was on Tuesday with 332K hours watched, but that was also a day that Morris streamed, racking up around 250K hours watched before leaving for vacation.

Asmongold’s other streams during the week consistently produced more than 200K hours watched, but never exceeded 273K. His average viewership typically hovered around 35K CCV.
