Ninjas in Pyjamas through their Twitter handle revealed that the Swedish legend, Dennis “dennis” Edman would not be able to make it for the day one at DreamHack Masters: Dallas 2019 due to VISA issues. “Due to issues with an address update on the ESTA for Dennis, he will be arriving to Dallas later than planned. The address update is subject to a 72 hours approval,” claimed the Tweet.
VISA issues have continuously been affecting the Counter-Strike pro scene or esport scene in general. Several tier one players have faced problem travelling overseas in the recent times. Professional players had to miss vintage events due to this. Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai, Vito “kNg” Giuseppe, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev, Özgür “w0xic” Eke and several others faced problem with their respective VISAs.
NiP coach, Faruk “pita” Pita will be standing in for NiP against TyLoo on the first day. However, it is still unclear whether Dennis would be able to arrive before day two commences.
DreamHack Masters: Dallas 2019 will be held at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center from May 28 – June 02 with $250,000 USD on the stake. Sixteen teams from across the globe will be seen in action with double elimination GSL format.
