Ludwig Eats, Sleeps, and Breathes Twitch for Over a Week – Weekly Twitch Top 10s, March 15-21 – ARCHIVE

Not even a grown man sleeping in a bed shaped like a character from Pixar’s Cars was enough to challenge Twitch’s number one streamer this week. Félix “xQc” Lengyel has created a massive following that carries with him across any style of content, and it’s unclear what it would take for someone to supplant him.

Twitch’s Top Channel – xQc

Twitch has seen its share of unique marathons, but usually those marathons have a fixed endpoint. For over a year Ludwig Ahgren has been one of the platform’s rising stars, steadily growing his average audience and followership and recently breaking 1M followers. This week, Ahgren began what started as a simple streaming marathon – new subscriptions to his channel would increase the length of the stream by 10 seconds.

Now a week later there is no end in sight as the entire platform appears to have rallied to keep Ahgren trapped on an inescapable treadmill of content – which was enough to rocket him to second place on Twitch for the week, generating over 4M hours watched.

Twitch’s Top Content – Just Chatting

While Ahgren’s marathon brought a new face to the top channel rankings, there was little fluctuation on the content side. Grand Theft Auto V continues its reign as the new number two, Apex Legends remains a comfortable fixture near the bottom of the Top 10 but with little danger of falling out at this time.

It will likely take a new release or significant content drop to upend the current status quo.
