Winstrike Team took a new logo, a new IMBA Power sponsor and a new team from Dota 2 to represent the Russian company at the Dota Pro circuit in 2019/20 on Twitter on Thursday.
In the last few months, the Dota 2 team of Winstrike has undergone a number of changes in the roster, which resulted in very unstable rosters and inconsistencies in the players joining and leaving on a daily basis
The former impact, Team Empire and Virtus.pro coach Arsenij “ArsZeecq,” Usov, were signed in October in drastic times. He was given the role of the new head coach of Winstrike and assumed the task of assembling a new Dota 2 line-up.
Weeks passed until Thursday 28 November when Winstrike announced an entirely new team for the next DPC season, without any news about ArsZeeqq.’s success.
To start, Winstrike has signed ArsZeeqq, one of the industry’s most accomplished and successful coaches. He has coached some of the largest names in the Dota2 scene before and was responsible for Virtus.pro last year, helping them finish second in the DPC classification with 13,500 points.
Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin, a 22-year-old talented man who previously played in Gambit Esports, will be number one. Shishkin will be in his office in the offlaner place, former teammate Vasily “AfterLife.”
Maxim Pnyov, who started his career in July 2019, but already showed tremendous talent and potential when playing for Nemiga Gaming, was the most promising but controversial signing.
While all are strong players, the focus should be on the controversial Korobnik and Ilya “ALOHADANCE” and the experienced Nikoghosyan of Vladimir “RodjER,” who had previous to play under ArsZeeqq on Virtus.pro.
ALOHADANCE, as a talented player, reportedly declined to practice with his teammates at HellRaisers at the beginning of November which gave him an inactive position in the team.
The new roster will now face its first test in the DreamLeague Season 13 CIS Open Qualifier on Friday 29 November, which will push Winstrike to the end in closed qualifiers on Sunday.
