New Orleans Saints fans had a great surprise this Tuesday. After nine seasons, Jimmy Graham is back to the Saints on a one-year contract. He first played in New Orleans for five seasons, from 2010 to 2014. His trade to the Seattle Seahawks in 2015 was a shock to everyone since he was at his prime and his connection with Drew Brees was incredible.
Even playing for only five seasons with Brees, the duo is one of the best QB-TE duos in NFL history. Of course, other duos like Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski or Phillip Rivers and Antonio Gates were more successful over the years, but they played much longer time together.
After three not-so-good seasons in Seattle (2015 to 2017), he moved to Green Bay for another two years. He also didn’t repeat his performances with Aaron Rodgers. Then after another two seasons with the Chicago Bears, Graham skipped the 2022 season. Now he is back to the league, to the Saints and to his old number. Can he also come back to his numbers?
The five seasons that Jimmy Graham played in New Orleans were spectacular. His only two seasons with more than 1,000 yards were with the Saints, in 2011 and 2013. He had 1,310 yards (career-high) and 11 touchdowns in 2011 and 1,215 yards and 16 TDs (career-high) in 2013.

Drafted in 2010 by the New Orleans Saints, Jimmy Graham joined the franchise one year after their first and only Super Bowl win. He was selected in the third-round, with the No. 95 overall pick. After 12 years playing in the league, Graham sums up 184 games in his career. He has 713 catches in 1,109 targets, 8,506 yards and 85 touchdowns. And one of his most memorable TDs happened in 2013.
After scoring a 44-yard touchdown, the former basketball player in college did his famous celebration, dunking the ball in the goalpost. Well, let’s say the post wasn’t ready for that. It happened on a TNF against their divisional rivals, the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints won that game 17-13 and the game was interrupted for a few minutes so they could fix the damage.
