Fortnite School of Llama Challenges

by Ashley

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 has just got its bonus skin unlocked, Geralt. Even if you don’t have the Battle Pass, though (or if you do and blow through those easy quests in a day or two), there are still some new challenges and even Witcher-themed cosmetics for you to play through.

We’re getting the Fortnite School of Llama quests, a totally new type of challenge added to the game.

The Fortnite School of Llama update is bringing some fresh quests and free Fortnite cosmetics to the game alongside the Witcher himself unlocking. These quests are themed after the Witcher, but with a bit of a Fortnite twist, as you can probably tell from the title. This is a free series of quests where you can earn free cosmetics and XP. However, these don’t just quest in Battle Royale. As you progress through the paths in the School of Llama, you’ll have to take on challenges in Creative Mode too.

The rewards here include loads of different emoticons, banners, and even a free pickaxe! It’s all Witcher themed, so you can use one of Geralt’s swords even if you’re playing as a default. This is how this new type of challenge is going to work, along with what you can get through progressing through the School of Llama challenges.

Fortnite School of Llama Challenges

The Fortnite School of Llama Challenges is a series of quests for you to complete in-game. These give out an XP reward along with cosmetic rewards. However, even getting access and starting the School of Llama challenges is different here. They’re not just listed with your normal weekly challenges.

You need to log in through a special School of Llama Fortnite website to even up for the quests! Then you’ll unlock the tasks in-game that you can complete. Once you finish off each path made up of different challenges, you’ll have to head to a specific creative island. You then will need to overcome the obstacles on that island to finish off that questline in full!

This is pretty different from your standard quests. There’s much more legwork. Between the website and the creator experiences, this is a much more full-on experience.  There are going to be five paths available for the school of the Llama challenges. They’ll be updated weekly until the final page of Geralt rewards hit the game.

Fortnite School of Llama Challenges Release Schedule

These are the paths that are coming for the School of Llama and when they’ll be unlocked in-game.

  • Path 1 – Available now
  • Path 2 – Unlock February 14
  • Path 3 – Unlocks February 21
  • Path 4 – Unlocks February 28

This is when you can get access to each of them. You’ll need to visit the website after this date to see the challenges. The rewards are different for each path. If you want to unlock everything, you’ll need to get through all four of the paths.

Rewards for the Fortnite School of Llama Challenges

These are the rewards you can grab for the Fortnite School of Llama Challenges. These ones unlock for getting to the end of each of the paths.

  • 1st Reward – Witcher’s Silver Sword Pickaxe
  • 2nd Reward – Geralt of Rivia Lobby Track
  • 3rd Reward – 80,000 XP in-game
  • 4th Reward – 80,000 XP In-Game

For getting through all four paths, you can get all of this for free. If you don’t want to bother with the second two paths for the XP, there are further rewards you’ll want to keep an eye on. To get through all four of the Fortnite School of Llama paths, you will get the School of the Manticore emote and the School of the World spray.

Along with those rewards, there’s more too. You can get exclusive rewards when you finish all of the challenges in a path, so essentially 100% of each section of the paths. These are the emotes you get here.

  • Path 1 Reward – School of the Cat Emoticon
  • Path 2 – School of the Griffin Emoticon
  • Path 3 – School of the Viper Emoticon
  • Path 4 – School of the bear Emoticon

There’s another reward still, though, for the third batch in each path! Completing the creator-made islands in each path of School of Llama gives you these rewards.

  • AXII Challenge Island – AXII Sign Banner Icon
  • QUEN Challenge Island – QUEN Sign Banner icon
  • AARD Challenge Island Reward – AARD Sign Banner Icon
  • IGNI Challenge Island Reward – IGNI Sign Banner Icon
  • YRDEN Challenge Island Reward – IGNI Sign Banner Icon
  • YRDEN Challenge Island – YRDEN Sign Banner icon
  • Complete all Islands – School of Llama Emoticon

These are all fairly similar, so not everyone will likely bother with this section of the game. However, if you really want to get everything or you’re a huge Witcher fan then you can get all of them this way.

When Does the Fortnite School of Llama Challengers Release?

This path of challenges has loads of rewards, but there is a time limit on it. You’re going to have to make your way through all of the Fortnite quests before the expiry to get everything. So, when exactly does it end?

There’s a countdown on the School of the Llama website at the moment. However, if you just want an easy-to-remember date, then you’ve got until March 10! This is likely towards the end of the season, so you might have the rest of Chapter 4 Season 1 to get it done.

How to do the Fortnite School of Llama Challenge

That’s all of the rewards that you can grab! There are loads here, even if they’re mainly just banners and emotes. This is how you can sign up for the quests.

  • Log in with your Epic account in the School of Llama website
  • Complete the Tasks in Each Path
  • Head to the Island at the end

These tasks work in Zero Builds and standard Battle Royale. These are pretty expansive quests! Alongside your Fortnite weekly quests, there are going to be a lot of challenges for you to get through over the next few weeks. If you’re looking to grab 100% of absolutely everything Epic offers for free then you’re going to need to spend a fair amount of time heading through all of the School of Llama training!
