The Philadelphia Eagles, one of two teams still undefeated this season, will face the New York Jets on Sunday, October 15th, 2023 (4:25 PM ET). The Jets will host the game and they desperately need a win as they try to stay relevant in the 2023-24 NFL playoff hunt. After coming close to knocking off the KC Chiefs in Week 4, the Jets should not be discounted in this upcoming game. The Eagles vs Jets injury report is one that is fairly balanced with some important players on it for both teams.

The Philadelphia Eagles listed ten players on the half of their injury report for the game. Four of these players were FP following practice on Friday, meaning they were full participants.
Darius Slay remained DNP after practice on Friday, a cornerback on the Eagles. He has a knee injury. Meanwhile, Quez Watkins was added to the injury report on Friday as a DNP with a hamstring problem. Slay and Watkins are both out for the game as are Justin Evans and Jalen Carter. There are some other questionable players in a week that looks half bumpy for Philadelphia.
The Jets listed eight players on their own half of the report. DJ Reed is a defensive starter who will miss the game. Meanwhile, Sauce Gardner is questionable due to an illness. You would think that he is a player that they would need in order to keep Philadelphia’s offense in check. Jets’ backers might want to stick to handicaps in this home game unless Gardner improves over the weekend.

Eagles vs Jets Injury Report: Betting Tips
But the injury report could be viewed as balanced. Both teams have problems to deal with.
There is some room to be skeptical of the Eagles this season. At -6.5 on the road, they should be avoided in part because of the near loss to Washington a couple of weeks ago. Philadelphia has had some dips this season and maybe a little bit lucky to be 5-0. Take the points on the Jets in this one at +6.5 and odds of -110 (bet365).
If you applied those handicap points to Philly’s games this season, then they would be 4-1. Also, if you applied -6.5 to Philadelphia, then they would be 2-3.
