DreamHack is about to make Fortnite pros’ dreams come true with an exciting tournament series this year.
DreamHack has recently announced that they will be hosting several Fortnite Zero Build tournaments in the next several months. These tournaments will take place at DreamHack San Deigo, DreamHack Dallas, and DreamHack Summer (Which will take place in Jönköping, Sweden).

Dubbed the DreamHack Open Featuring Fortnite, each tournament has a whopping $250,000 prize pool, and those who take home first place get $30,000.

DreamHack San Diego will kick off the Fortnite Open. It begins on April 7 and will last through April 9. The tournament format will be Zero Build Duos.
Friday, April 7
Heat 1: 3 PM-6 PM
Heat 2: 7 PM-10 PM
Saturday, April 8
Heat 3: 3 PM-6 PM
Heat 4: 7 PM-10 PM
Sunday, April 9
Finals: 12 PM-3 PM
The first two days will have two heats a piece, and the finals will occur on the last day. Each heat lasts three hours. Duos will play as many games as possible, and their five highest-point games will count toward the leaderboard. The top 12 Duos from Heats 1-3 and the top 14 from Heat 4 advance to the finals.

Along with grabbing their share of the $250,000 prize pool, the top 10 Duos will earn spots in the upcoming Gamers8 2,000,000 Fortnite series in July.
50 Duos will face off in the Gamers8 tournament, with 30 spots reserved for DreamHack’s best Duos.
How To Compete
Everyone can enter the DreamHack tournaments, provided you have a BYOC Lan ticket to one of the three events. Prices for DreamHack San Diego start at $109 (Complete registration details are still forthcoming). You can look at ticket options here.
Those competing in DreamHack San Diego can take advantage of some special offers currently on DreamHack’s website. Competitors can book at one of several hotels at cheaper rates.
The average ordinary Duo of Fortnite players with a dream won’t be the only ones competing; expect notable names and faces from the Fortnite community to show up to throw down. Everyone will need to bring their A-game if they want to advance to Gamers8.

DreamHack Dallas and DreamHack Summer are both still a ways off, and DreamHack has yet to release all the details for those events. You can still purchase your ticket for both festivals in advance. DreamHack Dallas tickets are on sale now, and DreamHack Summer tickets will be available starting tomorrow..
