The deal will see Rivalry create content around B8 and its Dota 2 team in an effort to “further [its] support and involvement with the greatest competitors in the scene.” Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

Kevin Wimer, CMO of Rivalry, discussed the partnership in a release: “At Rivalry we pride ourselves on supporting players and projects which resonate around the world. Dendi’s return to the fold will no doubt be cheered on by the entire community and we’re thrilled to be able to play a part in his new project in the world of Dota 2.”

Rivalry has established partnerships in a similar vein with organisations across both of Valve’s titles, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.

Earlier this month, the bookmaker partnered with Brazilian organisation FURIA and North American organisation beastcoast. Journalist Richard Lewis and London-based organisation Fnatic both renewed deals with Rivalry in 2019.

Esports Insider says: B8 is a brand new name in the world of esports but it’s already obtained some solid support in the form of Rivalry. It’s become clear in recent months that the bookmaker is establishing more and more partnerships in an effort to better advertise itself.
