New CSGO league FLASHPOINT to allow VAC banned, match-fixing convicted players » TalkEsport

FACEIT has announced and made it clear that it will be allowing reformed cheaters to play in their Flashpoint League.

Flashpoint amended their rule book, effectively allowing reformed cheaters to play the event qualifiers. The change in section 5.1 of the Flashpoint rule book comes in as, “any player with a VAC ban prior to February 5, 2018, is allowed to participate in the competition.” The only thing we are yet to find out is if the reformed cheaters and match-fixers are allowed in the league after going through qualifiers because the amendments currently only cater to the qualifiers for the event.

This is not the first time something like this has been done, back in 2017, Dreamhack and ESL also started allowing the participation of reformed cheaters. This move will no doubt allow a lot of players who made mistakes early in their career to have a chance at redemption.
