These are the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 the top spots to jump into for the strongest start in each game.
The new season of Fortnite has loads of new unique features, but some are actually tied to specific spots on the map. The best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 are a big decision now. There are features you can only get in some places. Like the great mobility from the Chrome splash locations. Or the Fortnite vaults in specific spots. You really need to think about where you’re landing.
The best landing spots vary for different players. There are intense landing spots when you get a huge fight and early action. Or there are openings where you can have a more subdued opening, get some looting in, and get properly prepared before you start getting into fights.
We’re going to run through the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. There is a good pick for everyone here. These are all of the best places to jump into for the opening of each game.
Best Landing Spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4
Rave Cave
The Rave Cave has consistently been one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 is no different. This spot seems slept on compared to other POIs of its size. It has loads of loot. Easily enough to kit up an entire squad. There isn’t a shortage of high-tier gear if you hit all of the spots, that’s along with plenty of slurp and coolers to get to full shields.
What’s nice about the Rave Cave for the last two seasons has been that it has great mobility. There’s a wind tunnel that lets you float away, launchpads close to the main building, and more recently the ballers and slipstream. Between these three, getting to the next circle with your early rotation is basically free.
Rave Cave often has a few other players. However, with how big it is, it’s got enough for everyone. This is a huge POI which doesn’t get looted too heavily if it isn’t early in the bus route. It’s one of the best landing spots.
The Lake
The area near the lake might not be a full POI, but it’s one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. It’s even got a nostalgic change this year. The original Loot House has been returned to the island.
This is a spot that was beefed up towards the end of Season 1. It’s now got the structures and portacabins, but even more is going on. There’s an airship here. This is a guaranteed spot to grab Chrome thanks to the NPC here along with a good number of decent chest spawns.
The airship itself has decent chest spawns. The portacabin buildings also have plenty more. In all, it’s enough to loot up in full. If you haven’t had quite the best gear though, there’s a secret looting spot around here. There’s a Fortnite vault hidden just below one of the buildings with mythic chests, slurp barrels, and more.
A strange thing about this spot is how much the sharks seem to work as bait. Players heading to the loot house will typically give you a great opportunity to grab a sniper one-shot kill, as they sloppily try to take out the shark swimming around.
The lake also features great mobility. There are car spawns on the outskirts. There are launchpads around. There are even boats if you want to go through the water. It’s the centre of the map so you rarely have far to rotate, but there’s every option around if you need to.
Lustrous Lagoon
The Lagoon has come back this season and late last season. Some elements from the original Chapter 1 POI are here, but there’s plenty fresh too. This spot has replaced the Daily Bugle at last. It’s one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
There’s more than enough loot here for a full squad. You’re going to be able to pick up just about all the loot you need. This one sits somewhere in the middle for that. The pirate ship has great loot. The rest of the buildings are a bit sparse compared to the old Bugle but there is still more than enough for a Duo.
The Lagoon doesn’t have the best rotation. Although, it’s close enough to a gas station that you can make an escape. This spot is great for a team or Duo. You will need to put up with a fight or two, but it isn’t the most rammed place on the map in most games.
Chonker’s Speedway
Chonker’s Speedway is one of Chapter 3’s most stable areas. This place hasn’t had too many changes. However, it remains a pretty strong place for dropping in.
The buildings around here have more than enough loot, even for a bigger team. The layout is relatively sparse. Although, it doesn’t take too long to loot pretty much the full POI. You can expect some traffic around here, but it isn’t one of the most contested landing spots.
Chonker’s Speedway features great rotation which is always a plus. You have access to cars here along with enough mechanics boxes to put cow catchers and off-road tyres on each car. You can then get out of here pretty easily. Even with the expansive desert being easy pickings for the new one-shot kill snipers, rotation isn’t too bad here.
Rocky Reels
Rocky Reels is a POI that has been around for a long time in various forms and names, but it’s come into its own lately. This place has become a hot drop. It’s consistently one of the busiest places on the map.
This area routinely attracts more players than it has chests. It’s kind of weird. Although, the layout of the place is definitely fun. With one spot of high ground, blocky buildings, and some fun line of sight covers across the open space in the middle, this spot is made for early firefights. It’s one of those POIs that feels as fun in Builds as Zero Builds. One of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
Rocky Reels is the best place to drop if you want early kills right now. This place can be a gauntlet. You might not get the best loot from your landing building, if you can leave having taken out the opponents, you’ll get all of the loot without the tedious grinding.
Rocky Reels is a fun POI. Especially if you’re looking for a fight. It’s not the best for getting entirely kitted out, but it’s great for fights and you can quickly rotate to other minor POIs on your way to the circle or high-ground for the mid-game.
Shifty Shafts
Shifty Shafts is a POI that returned in Chapter 3. It’s not the most popular landing spot. It does have a lot of loot though. Shifty Shafts’ underground tunnel system has plenty of loot for a solo or a team. On top of that, it’s got great lines of sight that can lead to some pretty fun firefights in the early game. Weaving around the underground with just basic loot is a lot of fun.
Shift Shafts has some vehicle spawns which means you can leave the spot pretty easily. It also has a board so you can grab a bounty and get some gold. This can be a quieter spot, but you should prepare for a fight or two if it comes up. The hill just to the east works too. From there, you can grab a few chests in the valley before moving into Shifty itself.
Shift Shafts isn’t the best landing spot in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 for those after fights. However, it’s definitely a contender for a quieter place.
Fungi Farm
This is a smaller landing spot, but one with a lot to offer solo players. There isn’t enough loot for a full squad. However, it’s a great quieter landing spot if you want a chill start to the game.
This farm has a decent number of chests considering how small it is. It isn’t a full POI. Although, it definitely offers more than your average small unnamed spots on the map. The few buildings each contain a handful of chests. There are also slurp mushrooms. Along with bouncy mushrooms that restore shield. This should guarantee a full shield bar after you land here. With a few different farm buildings, each with multiple spawns, even with a bad pool of the chest spawn rate you’re looking at a decent loadout from here.
The Farm also has a board for grabbing bounties. In terms of rotation, you can swing from here over to reality. The farm rotates over to a hill overlooking the POI. The one-shot kill headshots in the game at the moment mean you can easily pick off the players who took the larger POI. Then swoop in for what they’ve looted. Then grab a vehicle at the petrol station for quick rotation.
The Lootboat
The Lootboat is a landing spot that it’s worth keeping in mind, but you can’t really bet on it. It is a new POI that’s returned from earlier in the Chapter. It appears at different spots on the map. The boat is completely filled with loot, but you can’t guarantee you’ll find it every game. This is one of those landing spots to keep an eye out for. If you’re close to the coast, try to check for it to see if you’ve hit it lucky or not.
Reality Tree
The area around the tree is pretty spread out with a lot of mobility. There’s water with boat spawns. There are ziplines, there are even bouncy mushrooms off the tree’s high ground itself. There are plenty of ways to get to the next circle from this one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4.
The Reality tree isn’t as busy as it was last season. However, the loot hasn’t really changed. That makes it a great landing spot to go to. Especially if you’re looking for a balance between loot and safety. There might be a few other Duos or players, but it isn’t the pile-up you’ll find in other spots.
Tilted Towers
Tiled Towers is one of the original Fortnite POIs and probably the most famous locale in the game as a whole. This spot has been part of the game, on and off, since Chapter 1. It’s had changes, but its reputation precedes it. It’s where you go for a fight. Other spots have become big parts of the game’s balance since. However, there’s still pull for Tilted.
If you come here, expect sweaty players looking to fight it out early. While it isn’t known for its season-specific loot like chrome chests, there are decent chest spawns here. With its verticality, it might be the best POI for raw numbers of chest spawns. You can expect to get a decent amount of gear, if you can survive.
Tilted is central on the map. You don’t have to worry too much about rotation since you can easily reach any first circle from here. Outside of that, you’re more dependent on the vehicle spawns and what rotation items you find. However, with how central it is there isn’t much of a problem landing here.
Herald’s Sanctum
The new POI this season is Herald’s Sanctum. This is central to a lot of the season’s new items and themes. It’s covered in Chrome. It even has the only boss in the season so far, The Herald.
The Sanctum is a POI with a unique layout. It can be confusing at first, everything is plain chrome and there are a lot of corridors, layers, the tower even goes up pretty high. Considering Chrome removes fall damage, you can make some fun plays here.
Herald’s Sanctum is also home to the Herald boss. The Herald isn’t too obnoxious of a hazard here though. She’ll send out wolves if engaged, but if you don’t want to fight her you don’t have to. You can just loot and ignore them.
Herald’s Sanctum is in a relatively central POI. Rotation isn’t too hard from here. When you consider all the chrome you can get harvesting chromed objects, rotation should be quick enough.
Those are all of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4. This is a pretty fun map at the moment. There are loads of POIs, and spots both big and small that you can hit up to find the perfect plan for each game.
