Ex-Team Liquid In-Game Leader Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella is about to switch to Valorant for the second time, according to his former Team Liquid teammate Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis
In a recent interview, Mareks “YEKINDAR” Galinskis, who previously played alongside Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella on Team Liquid, revealed the future aspirations of his former teammate within the esports industry.
YEKINDAR revealed that nitr0 is facing challenges in balancing his CS:GO practice with the responsibilities that arise from the recent arrival of his second child.
“It’s tough with nitr0 leaving. Everything got mixed up. He had his second child and wants to play Valorant or something that requires less traveling. I hope everything works out for him; he’s a great guy.”

It is worth mentioning that nitr0 has been on inactive status with Team Liquid since June 4. He is, however, currently exploring opportunities in Valorant to find his new place in the competitive scene.
In an earlier move during 2020, he made the transition from CS:GO to Valorant and joined the American organization 100Thieves. During that period, he spoke highly of the game and openly shared his affection for it, but in 2021, he decided to return to CS:GO and became a part of Team Liquid’s roster.
Before parting ways with Team Liquid, nitr0 had voiced his intention to step away from the CS:GO esports scene, stating:
“I’m stepping away from Counter-Strike, but I leave the door open for other games and opportunities. If I receive an offer, I’ll consider it, but at the moment, I’m just planning to stream. I won’t actively seek another Counter-Strike team because I’m not interested in it right now.”
In addition to nitr0’s departure, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski also bid farewell to the team and joined Complexity Gaming. To fill their positions, Team Liquid recruited Alex “Rainwaker” Petrov from 500 and Robert “Patsi” Isyanov from Team Spirit.
