Polish organisation x-kom AGO has received sponsorship from technology company Garmin, best known for its sports and fitness watches.
The sponsorship will see players fitted with the company’s line of Fenix 6 series watches to track and collect data.

Jakub Szałamacha, Marketing Manager at Garmin Polska, explained how the features of the watch will assist players: “The Garmin fēnix® 6 multisport smartwatches, which will be used by AGO x-kom athletes, will provide athletes with a full cross-section of health and performance data. Indicators such as Body Battery help to assess their daily rhythm and optimize the day to achieve maximum performance at the desired moment. Esport is a discipline that is professionalised with each season and we are confident that in combination with the right training, our technology solutions will help athletes to take their performance to the next level.”
It is expected that the team will use the data collected to measure and analyse the health and performance of players across training, recovery, and tournaments. There will also be a series of Garmin brand activations across x-kom AGO’s social profiles.

Jakub Szumielewicz, President of x-kom AGO, also commented: “It’s amazing that the world leader in measurement technology has decided to work with our organization. Garmin’s products are top-of-the-line. They’re used by the world’s top athletes in extreme sports. We’re delighted that the watches we’re going to receive have features that allow us to truly analyze your life’s parameters, which will be taken into account when planning your optimal training cycle. Additionally, the brand itself is so deeply rooted in the sport that it is a dream partner for AGO x-kom.”
The deal with Garmin is one of two recent partnership announcements for the organisation, having also extended its working relationship with Wrigley’s Orbit brand this month.
Esports Insider says: Sponsorships like this are good to see as health and performance analytics are further integrated into esports organisations. If it not only gives players a competitive edge but helps maintain healthy lives then it is a win-win for x-kom AGO.
