The opening week for World of Warcraft Classic led to Zack “Asmongold” [no last name known]’s most-watched week on Twitch ever.

Meanwhile, Classic streamer “JokerD” (real name unknown) experienced a peak of 320K concurrent viewers when while becoming the first person to reach the game’s maximum level of 60.

The following channels are ranked according to the total number of hours watched on Twitch from Monday to the following Sunday, with data compiled using TEO Access.

Finding Gold

Zack “Asmongold” [no last name known] is known for being the most-watched WoW streamer on Twitch. So it should be no surprise that following the launch of Classic his stream saw the highest viewership it’s ever had

On launch day, Asmongold recorded an average of 125K concurrent viewers during a 24-hour stream that peaked at 290K CCV and had a total of 3M hours watched alone. Only one other personality streamer, Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris, managed to rack up more than that for the entire week.

Major Things

The second stage of StarLadder’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major in Berlin this past week provided more viewership than the first “New Challengers” stage the previous week, with the main English-language broadcast generating 7.4M hours watched on Twitch.

CS:GO Majors are split into three different stages, with the middle one involving the strongest combination of airtime and competition. The 16-team Swiss format play helps widdle down the field of teams to eight for the final week’s single-elimination tournament.

While the final week of the Major will certainly provide the highest max CCV figures for the event, this past week’s “Legends” stage includes a high volume of matches between a number of top teams.

They Grow Up So Fast

Prior to this past week, not many people knew who “JokerD” was, and after this week, there’s a strong chance that viewership on his channel won’t flourish regularly. However, with the help of WoW Classic’s launch, JokerD was able to sneak into this week’s top 10 by becoming the first player in the world to reach the game’s maximum level of 60.

While his overall viewership figures weren’t particularly impressive throughout the week, JokerD’s stats started to rev up as his character approached level 60. Around the time he finally hit the game’s max level, viewership on his channel was peaking at 320K CCV, even higher than Asmongold’s peak CCV for the week.
