Windigo was proclaimed champion of WESG ( World Electronic Sports Games ) after defeating AGO in the final by 2-1. The Polish team took the first map (Inferno) and earned a tight 14-16 victory but the Bulgarians turned the series after beating AGO 16-13 in Mirage and 16-7 in Dust2.
Windigo started in Group E with Fnatic and Movistar Riders, since ENCE did not attend the event. Their first game was against the Spanish side and they won 2-0, which left the Spanish duo, mixwell and loWel very disappointed. The Bulgarians then competed against Fnatic and earned a tie that led them to first spot in the group. Movistar needed to win by 2-0 to Fnatic to reach the next phase but did not pass the draw against the Swedes.
An unexpected champion in an unexpected final
Upon reaching the playoffs, the pairings predicted a final between MIBR and Fnatic. However, Windigo surprised everyone in the quarterfinals by beating the Brazilian team 2-1. On the other hand, AGO reached the semifinals after winning the Serbian team Valiance with the same result.

In the other semifinal, Windigo passed over G2, another of the candidates to reach the final.
