Berlin International Gaming has named Volvic as an official sponsor of its League of Legends team. This marks the mineral water brand’s first partnership in the German-speaking esports market, which will include jersey logo placement and content integration.
BIG told The Esports Observer that this is a planned multi-year partnership with a focus first on League of Legends. It will be a mid six-figure deal in the long term.
Volvic will also receive product placement within BIG’s gaming facilities. It joins other BIG partners HP, Betway, Red Bull, Interstuhl, Corsair, and SkinBaron. Volvic was previously a partner of Paris-based esports organization Team Vitality.
BIG’s League of Legends team competes in the pro division of the Prime League, Riot Games’ sanctioned competition of the German-speaking market. It won the most recent ESL Meisterschaft tournament and took a championship title at the 2019 Summer European Masters.
