LEC Secures Inygon as Broadcast Partner for Portugal – The Esports Observer|home of essential esports business news and insights

The League of Legends European Championship will begin broadcasting in Portuguese, through a new partnership with Inygon. The Braga-based esports company already operates the European Regional League for Portugal the Liga Portuguesa. According to the announcement, it will run its regional language broadcast through a separate channel on Twitch and YouTube.

This is the latest broadcasting partner since Esport1.hu secured the Hungarian language coverage rights in April. Currently, the LEC is broadcasted in over 10 languages, including French, German, Polish, Chinese, and Korean. Like Inygon, several local broadcast providers also run a respective ERL, such as Freaks 4U Gaming (German), and Polsat (Polish).

LEC games begin Friday, with a return to the league’s Berlin studio, albeit with no audience and teams still competing from their gaming houses and training facilities.
