Vivo, a brand owned by the Spanish group Telefónica and the leading telecommunications company in Brazil, announced Monday that it has renewed its naming rights sponsorship deal with Vivo Keyd.
The agreement, which in 2014 transformed Keyd Stars into Vivo Keyd, was renewed for another two years, with an end date of July 2022. According to the announcement, the renewal of this deal reinforces Vivo’s visibility in the Brazilian esports scene, and helps expose fans to the company’s broadband internet services.
Vivo Keyd fields Free Fire, CounterStrike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends teams, as well as an LoL academy team for aspiring professionals. All modalities are sponsored by Vivo. Vivo Keyd CEO Tiago Xisto spoke to The Esports Observer in May about the process of closing the partnership with Vivo.
