Virtus.Pro to acquire AVANGAR roster

by Shreyas Kulkarni

According to a report by DBLTAP, Team AVANGAR which is known for its CS:GO roster is in its final stages to be acquired by Virtus.Pro (VP).

In the last year, notable victories made by Team AVANGAR include multiple international events like DreamHack Open held at Rio de Janeiro, BLAST Pro Series: Moscow tournaments and StarLadder Berlin Major in September being placed runner-up against Team Astralis.

Recently, in June, AVANGAR made a huge change to their roster by adding Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev.

Virtus.Pro hasn’t made a huge breakthrough for a while. Last being placed second to SK Gaming at EPICENTER 2017. VP achieved most of its success with its legendary lineup of Filip “NEO” Kubski, Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas, Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzabkowski and Pawel “byali” Bielinski winning a Major and Multiple International Tournaments and events together. Snax is the only player remaining with VP from that line-up.

AVANGAR won’t be the first CIS roster to play for VP. AdreN has played with VP multiple times, Archives state AdreN was with VP when they announced their first-ever CS:GO roster in October 2012. Then, in 2013, he left alongside “ANGE1” and “Dosia” to Astana Dragons.
