Team M8HEXA has already qualified from the Singapore/Malaysia/Philippines region. Tencent and Garena have finally expanded on details of the previously announced Arena of Valor World Cup coming to Vietnam this year. The 12-team event will be held in Da Nang and offer a $500K prize pool. The 2019 World Cup will begin at the end of June and will run through mid-July, though exact dates have not been confirmed. The 12 teams will represent nine different regions, including the first team from Japan since the game launched its Japanese server in November of last year. Other regions include Vietnam, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Singapore/Malaysia/Philippines, Korea, America/Europe, and mainland China. Two teams each will represent Vietnam, Thailand, and Chinese Taipei. It reached the finals by winning the ESL Clash of Nations closed qualifier for Malaysia and Singapore. Of the 12 teams, eight are guaranteed prize money. First place will rake in $200K, with second garnering $110K. Third and fourth place teams will receive $50K, while teams finishing fifth through eighth will collect $16K. An overall MVP will be chosen for a $10K prize, while the best lineup will get $16K. The first AoV World Cup was held in Los Angeles last year, with Team Korea taking home the top prize.
