Valve continues to rotate maps within CS: GO. A few days ago the developer announced the inclusion of Vertigo among the competitive map maps. It was announced last night that it would be available among the seven maps used in professional circuits. To adjust the map to the professional requirement, Valve made some tweaks to improve the experience.
Today we are removing Cache from the Active Duty Map Pool and adding Vertigo. We’re also releasing the EZ4ENCE Music Kit and Feral Predators Sticker Capsule, now available in the New Releases tab of the Main Menu! Full Release Notes here: https://t.co/fHHyB0OypR pic.twitter.com/9KqvHiR1WH

Vertigo is one of the most iconic Counter-Strike maps. Introduced for the first time in Counter-Strike 1.1. It owes its name to be one of the most eye-catching maps in the title. It has been in Global Offensive since October 1, 2012. For Vertigo to have been able to enter the group of professional maps one map had to be sacrificed. In this case, it is Cache, which would receive a remodeling soon.
The Reactions
The arrival of the new map to the professional Counter-Strike scene is quite traumatic for the community. Some pros and analysts have criticized Valve for the addition of the map and the removal of Cache. While some believe that that it should have arrived earlier.

Cache is one of the most loved maps within the community. It was quite simple and does not demand much effort. Some of the pros love it while the best team in the world, Astralis hates it. Everyone thinks that the map is easy and that is why it has its fair share of lovers and haters.
For its part Vertigo, is a new map in the active group, though it appeared seven years ago. Now the teams will have to learn new strategies, new utilities, and positions. In short, they’ll have to work more on it compared to Cache.
S1mple Doesn’t care
Undoubtedly, one player who is urging everyone to “stop crying” is S1mple. The talented star of Na’Vi says that one who has developed the game has every right to do whatever he wants. All the players can do is adapt to the changes and work hard.
Valve can do whatever they want, it’s their game, they can add any map, they can remove any map, they can change any weapon, understand this already please and instead of “crying” in social media just keep working hard in any different situation

The most interesting part of the situation will be to see which competitions include it in their map pool, since, at the latest, in the Berlin Major we will see the professionals having to play it, as well as in the qualifiers.
Anti-record made in CS: GO
The AWPer of Ninjas in Pajamas “William” Draken Sundin established the anti-record of the professional scene CS: GO. In a match with North on StarSeries & i-League CS: GO Season 7, the player received the lowest rating for the map that his team won. This was announced by co-owner of HLTV.org Petar Tgwri1s Milovanovic.
draken’s 0.38 rating against North on Nuke is the lowest rating we’ve ever recorded in a map win at a notable LAN event

Draken finished Nuke with a score of 8:24 and a rating of 0.38. In the entire history of CS: GO at major championships, no competitive player got such a terrible rating on a map which was won by his team.
