It’s time to talk about the future of CS:GO esports.
Has Valve just killed not only what ESL and BLAST are trying to do, but any possibility that we’ll ever have what League of Legends and Overwatch already do? And is that actually a good thing?

I hope csgo comes alive again <3
"Do we end up in a period of stagnation?" We already have.
Anders in this video looks like a baby with a beard
I can listen to Colin podcasts all day. Don't @ me
This channel beats other wannabe gaming news channel/sites. Like literally this is quality research.
Structured leagues are just Monopolies that hurt 2nd rate teams and coming up players.
Valve should just make a CS:GO equilvalent of Dota Pro Circuit and TI.
I love how Score does perfectly neutral unbiased research on such sensitive topics. It is very important to keep an open mind for all the possibilities instead of just sticking to one.
Good Job! And of course, Valve has done great for both csgo and dota and i have faith in their decisions. Valve never fails to deliver ( excluding Artifact; volvo pls revive artifact)
Скажите о чем он пиздел этих 16 минут ?
Franchising brings too much money in for anyone's good, and it corrupts the competition.
Fantastic video. I think cursing in your videos undermines the incredible professionalism that they otherwise have. Just my two cents.
Why can't they do it like DOTA 2? Make a pro circuit called Counter Strike Pro Circuit (CSPC). Make it community funded by providing various skins and other items as rewards. Host an annual competition like The International with majors and minors to determine the CSPC ranking and invite the best teams to their Premier tournament? How hard is it?
Fuck yeah Danmark banner in the background xD
simple as that, make several leagues. The last two from the first league drop out and the first two of the second league come in. The third last of the first league and the third placed of the second will do a relegation match to determine who deserves to be in the first league and voilà you have the same system as in football which is the most popular sport of all time.
A stabilised league doesn't equal an exclusive league, like wtf. Esl including all tournaments under esl is the right move, but making a year long exclusive tournament is insane.
Valves position is the right one as esl could easily kill every competing tournament. If you want to be the best be the best tournament and people will watch, not buy paying your way to the top.
"cs is gonna go" i see what you did there
You asked the a team owner and the #1 fan of that team to get diverging opinions. Great job guys. Hope the refresh money isn't weighing on your consciousness.
I realized anders looks like wardrobe's long loss brother

League of legends franchise system is healthy and prosperous. It doesn’t kill the game it defines it. It lets everyone see the most elite players in the world play at such a high level. The storylines created are easy to get into and actually impactful. (Think doublelift or caps and fanatic) or faker getting benched by kkhoma it adds a level of depth and professionalism to the game. Could CSGO survive in such a state? Yes with qualifiers for each split being open qualifiers where the best however many teams from that region compete in a structured league for that portion of the season, in that league. But all the non qualifiers are still free to compete else where. Then entry to the split would be a chance for any team to enter, through a play in, the best teams will qualify again and bring stability m, while also allowing for new teams and faces fight for positioning
When saying overwatch league is successful lol
if we see a franchise, it must be valve operated, but maybe allow a off season for other TO
I think cs can use dota dpc format with valve license major minor and another non licensed tournament in between. And if they want blast and esl coexist just make it 2 world cup each year like Lol with each of them host it
Valve needs to step up for CS, similar to what Capcom did for Street Fighter. A year long league where the tournaments are held independently, but the game is sponsored by Capcom which gives the players points towards a final tournament.
I was a little confused what this meant at first but now that i understand i'm really happy that Valve did this. Franchising would ruin CS
Nerd side of csgo
Fuck csgo. I was sick of it ten years ago and I'm really sick of it now.
This game is dead only cheater on this game
This is all good news. CSGO isn't the NFL or MLB and players don't make nearly as much. The biggest thing is relegation. Anyone that wants to get rid of that either wants the game to die or doesn't understand esports. How are new teams supposed to make a mark by showing they can compete against the best? By spending $5 million on a secured spot? Please.
Edit: This video talks about teams skipping events and player breaks like they're a new thing, but that's couldn't be any farther from the truth. This is easily one of the worst videos you guys have put out yet. So misleading and uninformative.
Its good that we dont have franchised leagues. Overwatch league is awful and will be dead in a couple of years.
CS:GO having 6-8 major events every year makes the pro scene pretty lame and unexciting to watch…
So does this mean Brax is unbanned lol
This is why CSGO should just stick to tournaments and no leagues… Maybe a sort of point system where winning a tournament gets you a certain amount of points, kinda like the world cup in cross-country skiing. But standard leagues are definitly a bad idea
00:12 calm down calm down, I'm gonna watch the whole thing, but please explain me: are we really considering that overwatch has a competitive scene? LMAO
