After about three weeks of intense Dota action, The International 2022 has finally come to a conclusion. Following a flawless uper bracket run, Tundra Esports have reigned supreme as the champions of the biggest annual Dota 2 tournament. The org lost a total of four maps in the group stage and only one map in the main stage.
Fans were able to witness a recap of the upper bracket finals when Team Secret, who were knocked down to the lower bracket by Tundra, managed to win 2-1 against Liquid and climb their way back up to the TI finals.
However, at no point during the best-of-five grand finals did it seem that Team Secret had a chance of defeating their opposition as they got swept 3-0 by the Western European giants.
Although, it’s impossible not to commend Team Secret’s run at TI11. The organization, led by The International all-timer Clement “Puppey” Ivanov, qualified for TI 2022 from the Last Chance Qualifiers and landed a second-place finish in the event.
With this victory, Tundra Esports take home the title of the best Dota 2 team in the entire world and the first-place prize of over $8,383,782.
Needless to say, the Tundra roster alongside coach Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling has won the hearts of millions of Dota 2 players throughout the globe while introducing a completely new meta to the title.
