With that said, it’s time to take a look at one of the people’s favorite games and go through the Dota 2 earnings ranking. As you will see in just a bit, the numbers here are jaw-dropping when compared to those in other games.
Johan “N0tail” Sundstein
The Dota 2 earnings data reveals that n0tail is the world’s richest Dota 2 and eSports player. Throughout his career, the player won a total of $7.18M, which is an insane amount of money. Of course, people who are familiar with his experience are probably not surprised because he won The International two times in a row. The latter is known as the event with the highest prize pool in eSports.
When talking about n0tail, it’s important to know that he’s also an ex-HoN player. However, the amount of money he won from HoN is not on the same level as the one from Dota 2. Speaking of the devil, he started playing this game in 2012 when he joined Fnatic. After spending 2 years with the club, n0tail became a part of Team Secret, followed by Could9. His star started shining more when he and 4 other players formed a team called Monkey Business, which was later renamed OG.
Although n0tail started his career as a carry, he transitioned to a support, which was the right move because his team became much more successful. In addition to his earnings from tournaments, n0tail is also a business owner.
Jesse “JerAx” Vainikka
Number 2 sport on our Dota 2 career earnings list is for none other than JerAx, one of Finland’s most successful Dota 2 players. The Dota 2 superstar began his career in 2013, but he became popular in late 2015 when he became a part of Team Liquid.
After spending almost 1 year there, JerAx became a part of OG, which was when the team won all of the big tournaments, including The International.
The data shows that JerAx’s total; earnings are equal to around $6.48M, which is a very impressive amount when you compare it to other players. The 31-year-old support left OG in 2020 when he announced his retirement, but this didn’t last long because he eventually became a part of Evil Geniuses. After spending more than 6m there, JerAx joined Team Liquid, but he left the team in late 2022 and has not been active on the pro scene since then.
Anathan “ana” Pham
When it comes down to Dota 2 earnings 2023 and interesting players, it’s safe to say that ana is the name that stands out. Unlike many other top-tier players that have been around forever, ana is a name that became popular a few years ago. The 23-year-old player from Australia became one of the strongest carries/midders and had a key role in OG”s success over the years.
Ana’s Dota 2 earnings so far are around $6M, which is very impressive for a player whose international career only began in 2016. Even though he was a part of Mobility Gaming in 2013, the latter wasn’t able to do much, and he was just 13 years old at the time. Interestingly, Ana joined OG and then left the team a total of 3 times. He also announced his retirement in 2022 but decided to help team T1 qualify for the 2022 The International. Sadly, even he and Topson were unable to do that.
Sébastien “Ceb” Debs
Also known as 7ckngMad, Ceb is the best French Dota 2 player in the world and a name that continues to be a key part of the team. The 31-year-old player started in 2011 and has been a parto f many interesting names over the years. However, his first big appearance on the big stage came in 2015 when he joined Alliance. After playing for a few other teams, he eventually became a part of OG in 2018 and won two consecutive The Internationals.
These two victories, as well as other small events, allowed Ceb to accumulate around $5.86M. What’s interesting about the legendary offlaner is that he also retired from Dota 2 (several times), but following OG’s unstable performance in 2023, the player is back in action and is a part of the team’s current roster. However, instead of being in the offlane, Ceb will play as a position 4.
Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen
Lastly, we have OG’s 5th member and the last person to lift The Aegis 2 times in a row (at least for now). His name is Topson and he was OG’s midlaner. If you take a look at the Dota 2 Team Earnings, you will see that his total earnings are around $5.7M, which makes him the most successful mid-laner in the game’s history.
The 25-year-old midder from Finland had little to no experience with any big team before joining OG in late 2018. Nevertheless, he quickly proved himself as one of the best in the world because of his innovative approach to the game.
Topson was very dangerous to play against because of his unpredictability. He’s a player that can utilize all sorts of heroes and make them work, which allowed OG to have a massive advantage against the rest.
In addition to OG, Topson also helped T1 alongside ana, but the two players weren’t enough for the SEA powerhouse to qualify for The International 2022.
