A combination of Friday Fortnite and World Cup qualifying helped boost viewership for Epic Games’ battle royale game following a slower week for Fortnite on Twitch.

Wacky Weekend

 

Fortnite Database-Link-e1521645463907 led viewership this past week on Twitch during the return of Daniel “Keemstar” Keem’s Friday Fortnite tournament that was cannibalized last summer when Epic Games announced its Summer Skirmish series.

 

 

Viewership for the title reached 3.3M on Friday as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Nick “NickMercs” Kolcheff, and other top influencers participated in the grassroots double-elimination duos tournament.

The last time that Dota 2 was able to reach 10M hours watched for a week was during the Mars Dota League Disneyland Paris Major at the beginning of May.
