Jaryd “Summit1g” Lazar stayed at the top of Twitch in April, but Fortnite’s return to prominence has Turner “Tfue” Tenney hot on his heels.
The following titles are ranked according to the total number of hours watched on Twitch , from April 1-30, with data compiled using TEO Analytics.

Year-Over-Year
As was the case in March, the biggest difference between last April and this month was the hours watched total for Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. After breaking records when he streamed with popular rap artist Drake, Blevins leveraged his success to host an event in Las Vegas that also drew sizeable viewership.
Blevins’ ability to take advantage of his exposure catapulted him to viewership that had never before been seen by influencers on Twitch in April of 2018, but this year, viewership figures by top streamers are significantly more down to earth.

As Fortnite has started to regain its spot at the most-watched game on Twitch, Tenney’s loyalty to the title has paid dividends for him in the form of a strong viewership base that even outperforms the average viewership of fellow Fortnite gamer and 2018’s most-watched streamer in Blevins.
Though Lazar’s 270 hours of airtime helped him generate 9.6M hours watched with an average of 34K CCV, Tenney was able to match Lazar with just 165 hours of airtime.
What’s Trending: Out of Stealth
In 2018, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins brand growth and viewership figures were such that he arguably outgrew the platform he was streaming on in terms of popularity, but thus far this year, the headband wearing gamer has had a less-than-stellar start compared to his lofty standards.

However, as the year has moved along, Blevins has produced more and more hours watched. His 5.7M hours watched in February was topped in March by more than 7M hours watched, and this month he pulled even stronger viewership.
The increase in hours watched has come largely due to increases in hours of airtime. Blevins’ average CCV has stayed fairly consistent between 30-35K, but with Fortnite’s recent return to the top of Twitch, there could be more room to grow.
