Okay, imagine you just won an esports tournament.
You grinded for hours, worked your ass off and now you’re owed nearly $50,000.
But instead you walk home with five hundred bucks and a computer monitor.
Here’s the messed up thing, this actually happened. And it’s all because of crazy Japanese gambling laws, a weird loophole to get around them and a protest started by one of the best Street Fighter players of all time.

i thought the communists were the chinese?
The dislikes are… nice
JeSU is just unnecessary. A lot of Japanese players and community think JeSU is just scam and garbage and unnecessary.
?
What…
Seems like japana needs to lax on those restrist I ns that invole esports thats the mans living his way he earns his income, quite honestly its kinda disgusting to hear a great pro such as momo has to go through this. Only because they seems like they dont want to revisit the laws that basically govern over esports as gambling lol laws in 2019 #dabest
Same as ace in china…fucking gaming oligarchs leeching on poor esports players
How dare you diss cup noodle!!
this system is to easy to corrupt
we need to raid jesu.
Those Nora Rengu boys need a license!! That R6 team works so hard
A petition should be started to publicly condemn the Japanese Government for their wrongdoing
They say China, Japan, etc is 10 years ahead of us.
just so you know JPN government specifically stated that prize money from esports event is NOT restricted by this "stupid laws"
it's JESU that's messing everything up in Japanese esports industry.
He talks to much im out
I wouldn't be surprised if the JeSU turns out to be nothing more than an organization that's backed by the yakuza; just hearing that it's a non-elected, non-government affiliated entity raises plenty of red flags.
so does jesu just pocket all the money for people who don't "qualify"
so who gets to keep the price money when the winner gets a monitor instead?
Japan has got one of the best environment, people, food, but ngl this is some stupid laws like wtf?
Those bags of rice cost more than a year of instant ramen lets be honest
Can you imagine… UNDER GROUND FUCKING ESPORTS ITS LIKE FIGHT CLUB BUT ESPORTS… that’s what the Japanese should do
The japan gambling shit is probably why there will never be a Tokyo owl team
Another video? Colin you’re poppin off
Gambling Rules are a pain in the ass for germany and Magic the Gathering. Big Magic Events everywhere in Europe but nothing for Germany… I'm so sad
"way back in 2017"
what the FUCK did you say LMAO
WAY BACK?
your writer is retarded or you are.
GOD DAMN
He should start his own organization.
This guys the king of bad takes!
Moral: Don't play a Tournament in Japan.
I still don't fully understand why Momochi is making a stand against them. Isn't this overall a good thing someone is trying become a union for the players? Shouldn't we support this in general and just tell them what we want changed rather than out right refusing their licences?
Momochi doesn't want a private company to extort the community that he has been a part of for over 20 years. JESU is a fraud and esports is trash.
Wtf japan ???
Yakuza smiles gleefully
So this is the Japanese version of KeSPA…
guys hope ypu get 1m subs soon..goodluck
