These are the SEA representatives for the ESL One Stockholm Major

by eSportsJunkie Staff

Fnatic

  • Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto
  • Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios
  • Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong
  • Djardel Jicko B. “DJ” Mampusti
  • Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla

Fnatic comes into the ESL One Stockholm Major as the strongest team in the SEA region. They finished the season in a tie with BOOM Esports, whom they defeated in a tiebreaker quite convincingly. The team had a successful run during this season’s DPC SEA Tour 2. The only series they dropped was to BOOM Esports in the 5th week of the tour. Fnatic’s last big international appearance was in TI10 where they got knocked out by the champions in the losers’ bracket quarterfinals.

This team is a very flexible one as they can play a wide array of strategies. Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto is one of the veterans in the SEA Dota 2 scene and throughout the years he has proven to be one of the most reliable carries in the scene. We all remember his golden days back in TNC, but now he is looking to make history in the Fnatic organization.

BOOM Esports

  • Souliya “JaCkky” Khoomphetsavong
  • Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer
  • Saieful “Fbz” Ilham
  • Timothy John “Tims” Randrup
  • Rolen Andrei Gabriel “skem” Ong

Just like Fnatic, BOOM Esports had a very good run in the league. In fact, the only defeat they had on their books was against Nigma Galaxy SEA, and it was a default loss due to technical issues. BOOM Esports was considered the definitive best team in the SEA region until the 1st place tiebreaker occurred. BOOM Esports wasn’t able to take down Fnatic like they did the first time they played against each other.

Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer is a key member of the BOOM Esports squad. He is a very reliable mid laner with a solid hero pool. BOOM Esports already demonstrated that they can be a top team from the SEA region, now we’ll have to see how they fare in the upcoming major. This team hasn’t had many opportunities to step on the international stage, so this will be a golden opportunity for them to show their true potential.

T1

  • Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte Santos
  • Karl “Karl” Matthew Baldovino
  • Carlo “Kuku” Palad
  • Kenny “Xepher” Deo
  • Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon

T1 is one of the most recent organizations in the SEA Dota 2 scene. They signed their first roster back in 2020, where they didn’t find much success. But T1 has been steadily climbing up the Southeast Asian ladder. They qualified for their first International last year where they got knocked out by Vici Gaming in the lower bracket. T1 took home the share of $1,000,000 dollars, which isn’t too bad for their first International appearance. T1 qualified for the Stockholm Major as the 3rd seed after taking down Polaris in a tiebreaker quite convincingly.

This T1 roster has many tools available, but we have to credit their carry Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte Santos. In a lot of games, he’s been the main reason why T1 can take over games that otherwise might have been losses in their books. This upcoming major will be extremely important for T1 as they’ll show if their last International run was just a streak of luck or if they are an actual threat to the competition.

Stay tuned as we’ll keep covering all of the featured regions and teams of the upcoming ESL One Stockholm Major. The major is right around the corner and there is still a lot to talk about!
