Remember when Char killed Garma in Gundam, or when Sasuke left the village, or when Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta?!
Few things in life hurt more than a knife in your back, twisted by your friend — a betrayal. And well anime betrayals aren’t limited to just anime. We’ve had our fair share of melodramatic treachery in esports and we thought it was only right that we ranked them.
Now before we get into guys, understand, we’re having a bit of fun with this one, and it isn’t meant to be taken too seriously. So sit back and grab a bucket of popcorn, because we’re counting down the Top 10 Anime Betrayals in esports.

This video literally starts with a bunch of spoilers
disliked cause fornite showd up
What about EE kicking Ohaiyou out of Fnatic?
13:29 , "Cinderella's story ain't got nothin on this!" LOL ?
Jesus Christ, dota has the best esports drama, lol
Ah the NoTail/Fly+S4 story. Got thrown under the bus with the remains of their team, getting disqualified from major tournaments because half your team left you days before, and then coming back from oblivion and winning the Internationals.
Armada and Leffen tho…
i saw a little bit of LOGITECH underneath that american flag
And this is why I play Starcraft 2. At least I won’t have to rely on anyone but myself.
Can't believe you guys missed Halo 5 where Lethul leaves CLG after winning just to lose to EG at the Xgames.
if Armada getting Leffin banned isn't on this list I'm unsubbing
That last one was amazing
What is it with all these Canadians??? I had no idea there were so many Canadians in e-sports.
Eternal Envy, the spoiled kid that never should have made it to pro.
Disliked for the fortnite clip
sneaky And Jensen?
enough with these stupid anime clips in between the actual content please. disliked.
Caps and Rekkles. Rekkles may look like a badass and Caps may look like an innocent kid, but Rekkles was a good friend and Caps betrayed him. Rekkles believed in him, even with the Mid Vayne pick. Only Rekkles supported him. Caps is a traitor.
Number 1 in my mind is when blizzard cancels the HGC pro scene for Heroes of the storm. Effectively "unemployed" all pro players and casters. https://www.reddit.com/r/heroesofthestorm/comments/a66fw9/reactions_from_pro_players/
Jensen c9???
Kjaerbye single-handedly made the worst trade in CS:GO history.
Going to North and leaving one of the big 3, who later became the worldwide best…
This was the worst trade deal in history, maybe ever. Now he's HLTV rank 12, between Avangar and NRG.
Dude, Fly and Notail is such a heartbreaking story. You could tell that Notail was really affected by Fly leaving. Even still, he pushed through and lead his team to win. It's literally a movie cliche
"Planet Vegeta"
Fly said "the team hasn't worked for a long time". Hence why he joined EG but ever since fly left OG, OG won the aegis of champions. So, does the problem lie with the team? Or with fly himself?
No Penta/Mouz betrayal? Dude losthis first major because of that.
Knew for sure Fly And BigDaddyNotail would be in here
how is caps leaving fnatic after winning back to back splits and made it to worlds finals to join their rival G2 not on the list? lmao
yoooooo for leffen you got the same anime i was thinking of lolololo
Clickbait
Well right now in vcs we have Optimus report his best friend on boosting lol rank 🙁
Honorable mention should have been Clayster getting kicked off of Complexity.
Kjaerbye: "The right choice for my career"
North have not done well in recent tournaments at all.
Astralis have won two majors as well as many other tournaments, including but not limited to ESL Season 8 and ECS Season 6 since his departure.
Good job Kjaerbye.
How about Ana leaving OG? Less than a month after winning TI?
Summit1g leaving to play Sea of thieves is the worst one yet
the Ninja one, i dont think esport community cared about that, like wtf is that? just to include fortnite and ninja?
What’s up with Dota? Felt like they took half the list. ?
G2 caps ?
dislike… sry just because u put description LOL
why isnt Brax on the list.
It should've been mentioned that Fly and n0Tail had been playing together for about 8 year before that happened, and were considered to be the closest friends in Dota when that happened.
Aui n notail. Their story :'(
lets be real every gundam fan knew char was out for the zabi family.
Damn only one from the fighting game community and it ended well, mobas are truly toxic and unfun ?
cinderella story indeed
Zeus bait interview before the CS Katovice 2019 Major instead of the Ninja vid…
Nice, now i gotta watch Bleach again. xD
An now kjaerbye is averageing his 1.0 rating in North where he wanted to be a "star player"… xD It s so ironic that Astralis is just a godlike team after he left.
thats the best top10 betrayal on esports?? more like a player got kick or split from the team due to some performances/money/attitude issue. friendship? theres never been a real friendship in competitive esports n all the answer in interview about staying forever, friendship, bla bla bla.. its just to cover up their image as professional player but the reality never been that beautiful.
plus if i had to put top 1 anime betrayal, i will go with freakazoid(csgo) blood brother leaving swole patrol on short notice for eunited when they have upcoming match soon. the team that built by freak himself n he escort his own brother who learn how to play csgo professionally from his own brother. then freak make his own goals to make sure that his brother, cooper to be successful with him, had no issue of being kicked, got a good amount of wages then his brother ended up leaving the team without telling anyone on the team when they had a big match to play soon. thats the most fucked up things i could say happen in esports.
