Are you interested in learning which are the most successful Dota 2 heroes of 7.34d heroes and what could change? Let’s dive in.
No one can deny that the Dota 2 patch 7.34d is slowly ending. This patch was special because it is the one that TI12 took place on. Although the tournament ended almost one month ago, we are still playing on this patch. That’s why we’ve decided to take one final look at the most successful Dota 2 heroes of 7.34d. Besides analyzing them, we will also try to point out a few important things that could change about them in 7.35. Speaking of the latter, don’t forget to check our 7.35 wishlist to see some of the changes we expect to see.
Witch Doctor
When talking about the most successful Dota 2 heroes of 7.34d, the first name that shows up when you check the stats is Witch Doctor. This may surprise some of you, but with more than a 55.73% win rate, he is easily one of the best options you can get. What’s even more impressive is the hero’s jaw-dropping 25% pick rate, meaning he appears once every 4 games.
Witch Doctor was an interesting pick at The International, as well as after that. His ability to win the lane and crazy damage output makes him a valuable option in a lot of setups. In fact, one of the reasons why he works so well is because of the slight changes he got in 7.34d. Even though Death Ward’s cooldown increases, so did the damage in levels 1 and 3, as well as WD’s base STR, meaning he is much harder to kill.
Considering Witch Doctor’s current state, we expect a lot to change in 7.35. For starters, Valve will probably reduce his STR gain and Ward damage. We may see even more nerfs.
Spectre
The second option on the list of most successful Dota 2 heroes if 7.34d goes to Spectre. She was one of the hidden gems at The International 12 and one of the heroes with the highest win rate. Some teams, such as LGD Gaming, relied on her a lot, which explains why she is also one of the best in PUB Dota 2.
Similar to WD, Spectre also received a buff in 7.34d because Her Shadow Step got a reduced cooldown on levels 1 and 3. Even though it did not seem much, this change made the hero feel stronger, which is why she sits at around 55.70% win rate.
Considering this was one of the Dota 2 heroes we expect to be nerfed after 7.35, we expect to see at least a couple of changes. Spectre may not be the most popular carry right now, but her win rate is higher than usual, so Valve will probably take action. We wouldn’t be surprised if her base STR or STR gain are impacted because this will make Spectre’s early game even harder.
Wraith King
Although Chaos Knight has a slightly higher win rate compared to Wraith King, we’ve already talked a lot about him, so we won’t do that again. In terms of WK, he is among the most successful Dota 2 heroes of 7.34d because his win rate is at 55.25%.
WK is one of the heroes who also got a small buff in the current patch. His level 15 talent increases the Wraithfire Blast Stun Duration from 0.75s to +1s. Even though this change did not seem significant, it affected the hero’s popularity. Consequently, we expect to see at least one or more nerfs in 7.35.
One of the possible changes that will affect WK’s performance is related to his starting damage. We might even see armor reduction, which will make him much more vulnerable in the current meta.
Necrophos
There are a handful of heroes in Dota 2 that are strong in PUB games, but not that big in pro matches, and Necrophos is one of them. He was not a popular pick at TI12 nor at any other big tournament in 2023. Yet, the data shows he is clearly one of the most successful Dota 2 heroes of 7.34d.
Necrophos’s win rate is slightly above 55%, which is not bad for a hero who gets no professional play. What’s more, his pick rate is more than 20%, making him the 4th most-picked hero in the game.
In terms of the potential changes in 7.35, we do not expect to see that many nerfs to Necrophos. Albeit successful in PUB matches, the hero is not big in professional clashes, which is one of the most important things Valve takes into account when deciding which heroes to nerf. Consequently, we wouldn’t be surprised if the hero gets no buffs or nerfs.
Kunkka
Unlike Necrophos, Kunkka was one of the top picks at The International 12, and it is safe to say he is one of the best midders. In addition to the impressive win rate at TI 12, the data reveals Kunkka is one of the top Dota 2 heroes of 7.34d in terms of PUBs because his win rate is almost 55%.
Considering the data from Kunkka’s pro and PUB games, it is almost certain he will be one of the heroes who will receive interesting changes. The bad news for all Kunkak fans is that the 7.35 changes will most likely not be for the better because the hero is just too strong. So, expect things like reduced STR/Damage and more.
Conclusion
Valve should drop the new Dota 2 patch really soon. Make sure to follow us if you do not want to miss out on the latest news, and check our post-TI12 Dota 2 roster change log for more details.
