For the longest time, Tekken was fighting games’ best kept secret.
For years, it lived in the shadows of more popular fighting games. More known fighting games. More competitive fighting games.
But when the other games fell flat, Tekken finally got its shot. Its chance to prove that none of that was true. That Tekken could be the biggest, best and most exciting fighting game on the planet.

Tekken 3 was the first tekken i played. And it was magic. So good i cant even explain
I'm so mad, I just found out my main was release like a year ago SMH lol, I stop playing because Craig Murdak was not in the,game at realease, and even a year after,, I was so mad, I never bought the game, never played Tekken 7. Untill I saw this video, and I google, when is Craig Murdak comming out, SMh, why no one,said so lol. Well I'm buying it, and Craig Murdak here I come 🙂
Honestly, I greatly prefer Tekken t any MvC game. MvC is too spastic with its button-mashing bs and seizure-inducing light show that they dub a "special move". Never could get into them. Different strokes I suppose.

Good video. In my opinion Tekken has steadily gone downhill since 4 and 5. My main attraction to the game has always been characters and aesthetic. Ever since they introduced randomised custom outfits in single player, the game started feeling too silly for me.
We need arcades back, places were you can play games and also socialize with other people. Of course they should allow to smoke inside, i temember how old arcade machins all had little ashtrays!

Tekken has always been know for being a fantastic game. Every generation when am disappointed by broken games, p2w shit, I can always rely on Tekken for having good/innovative gameplay with none of the AAA Corporate BS.

As someone who got into Virtua Fighter during its peak, I'd be interested to see exactly when (and why) tekken overtook that series. VF is now dead and Tekken is stronger than ever. VF had some very cool mechanics and a lot of depth, but I suspect what it lacked was a sense of flashiness and style. One game featured a generic Chinese guy, and the other had Bruce Lee punching the opponent in the nutsack.
I was better at every video game than my brother except soul caliber, injustice, and growing up… teken. My bro used to spank me with Eddie. My mom wouldn’t let us play because of fight him in real life after he would non stop perfect me. I played waaaay more than him cuz when we got a 360 I moved the ps2 in my room and loved playing the missions after school. I would beat the story, easy, any character. I’d invite him in thinking I could finally get him but no… when you can change stances and hit combos with that guy I could never match him. Love my bro we are adults now and it seems silly but yeah this game was a wedge when we’d game back in the day. I played so much and he’d beat me so handedly I wonder if he was elite back in the day. Anyone else have Eddie problems?
Smash Ultimate is the highest selling fighting game of all time in the U.S and has the most views on YouTube. Tekken isn't as popular as people here think.
