Rewired.gg is a significant contributor in Team Vitality. Previously the fund invested €14m (~£11.7m) in 2019 and €20m (~£16.7m) in 2018.

As a part of the investment, Team Vitality has signed three former Astralis professionals to its CS:GO roster, namely players Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen and Emil ‘magisk’ Reif and coach Danny ‘zonic’ Sørensen.

The news follows the reveal of Team Vitality’s League of Legends roster, featuring former Cloud 9 mid-laner Luka ‘Perkz’ Perković and former MAD Lions ADC Matyáš ‘Carzzy’ Orság.

Team Vitality’s renewed CS:GO and League of Legends rosters reportedly represent a new era for the organisation, with a focus on performance and securing international talent.

Fabien Devide, Co-Founder and Esports Director at Team Vitality, commented: “This scale of talent investment has never been seen in esports before and I am honoured to be leading the charge with these rosters which have the potential to make history in Europe and beyond.

“Since the beginning of our entrance into CS:GO, we have been working with intensity to get to the top and nurture some of the best talent France has to offer. It’s now time to think internationally and create a new CS:GO culture of European talent with legacy athletes. As proven winners, dupreeh, magisk & zonic have what it takes to move us from not just being a strong contender, but the best CS:GO team in the world.”

Esports Insider says: Given that the finances have been used to buy in some of the most prominent CS:GO players, this generous talent investment has the potential to help the organisation significantly. Rewired.gg certainly has confidence in this ambition, so it will be interesting to see how the investment will impact Team Vitality’s position on the current esports scene.
