The former in-game chief Mathias ‘MSL’ Lauridsen’s north has announced the surprise return to their CS:GO roster.
North recently went through a brand, and is now rebuilding its New Year’s list and surprised fans by showing their former IGL’s return.
The reveal preceded the first look at the new mailboxes of the squad, where the video concluded with an MSL coming out of the shadows wearing a Nord Shirt once more.
From the start of the team on January 17 through September 2018, MSL represented North at the FACEIT London Mayor. He led the team at several trophies during this time, particularly at the DreamHack Masters in Stockholm where he himself was MVP only weeks before his removal.
After departing from the North, before joining OpTic Gaming MSL moved to Rogue, but the OpTic CS: GO team was dissolved after acquiring the organisation from the Immortals Gaming Club, which owns also MIBR.
While North suffered from relatively underwhelming performance since its relocation to the heights they achieved in the MSL era. In addition, they recently lost Valdemar ‘ Valde ‘ Bjørn Vangså, the star player and in-game leader who remained the team’s highlight for many when he joined the new international team under OG.
Before the team was disbanded, DreamHack MSL recently played for OpTic Gaming.
North has not yet verified its full start line-up with MSL, as six players seem to be in the group. At the moment it is not clear which position MSL is going to play or whether the squad has to face more charges in its roster.
Up until now, Markus “Kjaerbye” has only been announced to Kjærbye to re-sign the team.
The unconfirmed Team North roster as follows;
- Philip ‘aizy’ Aistrup
- Markus ‘Kjaerbye’ Kjærbye
- Nicklas ‘gade’ Gade
- Jakob ‘JUGi’ Hansen
- René ‘cajunb’ Borg
- Mathias ‘MSL’ Lauridsen
