Team Liquid gets 21.5 million dollars in investment – esportsjunkie

Axiomatic Gaming, the parent company of Team Liquid has secured a huge investment in the past 24 hours. The sources have verified that the NA organization has received over $ 21.5 million. Yet the investors remains unknown since their names were not seen in the SEC filing documents.

This is not the first time that Axiomatic has received such a substantial investment. Since in October 2018, one of the living legends of the NBA, Michael Jordan invested over $ 25 million.

In the past apart from Michael Jordan, Peter Guber the co-owner of Golden State Warriors, Ted Leonsis the owner of Washington Capitals, and Jeff Vinik the sole owner of Tampa Bay Lightning made the investment into the organization. Axiomatic is the parent organization of Team Liquid. It is one of the most successful teams in eSports. The organization currently holds active roster in multiple eSports divisions including Super Smash Bros, Dota 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

A Successful eSports Organization

The Counter-Strike team finished the last year in the top 4 spots of the world rankings. They are one of the veteran organizations of the industry and they are here to stay in the long run. Its League Of Legends team won the 2019 Spring Split Season. The team will be competing in Vietnam in a couple of weeks against some of the best teams in the world. The Dota 2 team won the world championship in 2017. It hosts some of the best players in the world. The richest player of Dota 2, Kuroky is the captain of the team.

We can go all day discussing the highlights of Team Liquid. Yet at the moment, we are optimistic to see how Axiomatic will use its newly acquired riches. Their eSports roster continue to claim big prizes and this funding will only improve the infrastructure of the team.

Cloud 9 Invests in Brazil

Another American eSports organization, Cloud9 is busy recruiting new players in its eSports rosters. After recruiting Flávio “Jukes” as the top laner of the League of Legends lineup. The American organization of Cloud9 announced the first 100% Brazilian Apex Legends team. Gabriel “isnoul”, Nino “ninexT” and Vinicius “noted” will now represent C9 in future Apex Legends tournaments.

All three are quite familiar with the competitive landscape of eSports and have put their skills into practice in the Respawn TItle. Recently, the Brazilians participated in an Apex Legends tournament held by Team Liquid and won the competition.

Isnoul previously competed in Overwatch, while ninexT and Noted have already featured in the competitive landscape of Rainbow Six.

Cloud 9 was founded in 2013 and currently hold roster in 10 different eSports divisions: Apex Legends, CS: GO, Fortnite, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Overwatch, PUBG, Rainbow Six, Rocket League and Super Smash Bros. Melee. In 2018, the American organization was valued at $310 million, the most valuable eSports organization in the world.

EA’s Battle Royale game was released in February and broke audience record on Twitch. The Respawn title reached 50 million players in a month.
