T1 vs JD Gaming Recap Worlds 2023 Semifinals Day 14.
A huge second Semifinals matchup, as T1 of South Korea looked to end the “Golden Road” of the Chinese LPL and do so in front of their own fans. While for JDG, they were looking to set up a dream final against Weibo Gaming next weekend.
T1 vs JD Gaming Recap – Game 1
First blood goes over to T1 right as things kick off with a smooth gang on the top side of the map. JDG were almost able to reply in the mid lane but Faker is able to escape. It was a dominant early game from T1, who despite letting go of the first Drake were able to claim the Herald and win out on kills 6-for-2. T1 kept up their momentum, continuing to push forward to claim the early leads as with Baron spawning soon they remained ahead with a 7k lead. While Baron is the next objective, T1 decided, to screw that, and just picked up a clean ace inside the JDG jungle and went straight for the JDG base. With such high respawn timers already. T1 claimed the win and set us up for a huge series as they picked up the Game 1 win in a dominant fashion.

JD Gaming vs T1 Recap – Game 2
First blood once again went over to T1, who claimed a second right after, though JDG did get one in return. Despite that, the game stayed pretty close, with just 7 minutes on the clock the gold was mostly even, with a much more active early game. Obviously, as we typed that the game slowed down as both sides agreed to just chill for a bit and farm. It took until the 20-minute mark for the next major action, and it was JDG that pulled the trigger, taking down both Zeus and Oner to destroy the T1 front line. JDG would once again win a major fight, this time, however, it was the Baron fight that they managed to secure, despite T1’s best efforts.
Baron saw JDG balloon their lead to 7.5k at 30 minutes as they looked to end the game on the next Baron. T1 forced a fight with Baron about to spawn, but JDG were just too far ahead as they looked to make the killing blow in Game 2. JDG did claim the Baron, as they looked to squeeze T1. JDG were able to clean up eventually and knocked down the T1 Nexus.

T1 vs JD Gaming Recap – Game 3
first blood once again for JDG in the bot side, but they fail in the disengage and drop two kills back to T1. Rift Herald is the first major objective, it was T1 that claimed it, though at the time the gold remained even. By the 15-minute mark, despite the lead being just 2k for JDG, most of T1’s gold is on their support, which means the lead is likely even larger. In typical T1 fashion, despite being behind, they forced the fight at the Drake to secure their third of the game and they came out on top. T1 secured the Baron, turning the game on its head as they looked to take a series lead. Though only Faker and Gumayusi survived, as they entered negative Baron Play territory.
T1 does it this time, and it’s another team fight to win, this time a clean ace and that’s enough for them to march into the JDG base and claim a huge Game 3 win.

JD Gaming vs T1 Recap – Game 4
A much slower early game, and you could tell the series win was on the line. Finally, we got a first blood, and while it went to the site of T1, Ruler quickly fired back with two kills of his own, leveling out the lead. A huge fight for JDG in the mid lane, while they only claimed the one kill, it did allow them to break another tower in the top lane as a result. With JDG a member down, T1 forced a Baron inside the darkness of JDG. T1 claimed it without any problems as they got away unhurt. T1 then turned that into a third Drake, as they found a way back into Game 4.
The fourth Drake is on the map, as the game hung in the balance. A mistake from Kanavi hands the Soul Drake to T1 as their dominance just has no end. T1 entered the JDG base with Power on their side, knocking down all three inhibitors with JDG desperately hanging on. T1 just had too much, however, and they claimed the Game 4 victory and series win. The win sets up T1 for yet another Grand Final next weekend.
