But then, it happens. You find out there’s a VAC banned account associated with your name. No more contract. No more career. No more CS:GO.
So what do you do? Well, after exhausting all other options… you sue Valve.

Someone let n0thing know…lol. what a weird rule. Pretty sure all the pros at some time or another, used probably…wall hacks, to determine wallbangable spots, timings, etc., in their early days
i dont think he deserves this for a moment lets say he was the one to hack his liife shouldent be effected by something he did as a minor plus he didnt hack in a pro game s he should bbe allllowed to pllay

I think he should be able to play at majors. Valve has already shown that they are really bad when it comes to ban decisions. That is because it ia less work for them, it is easier to just let a ban be permanent, and all the things that come with that, instead of actually understanding nuance in a situation.

The millions of emails Valve will get from people asking to unban their account bc they weren't the one playing is worth more than this guy's career apparently. I don't think Valve has ever unbanned someone for any reason other than a false positive. I'm guessing they want to keep it that way.
Maybe the way Riot does things will change Valve's opinion on this if Valorant's esport scene gets big?

This sort of scenario is the same as a 20 yr old not being able to get a job because they stole some lollies when they were a child. It's treating someone like a criminal because they decided to get pissed off and download some cheats to a game they paid for. Getting banned is 1 thing but having it affect your career is completely ridiculous and valve should lose this court case because they shouldn't have the right to treat an adult as a criminal for something they did that isn't even against the law as a minor.

I don't think that the question should be whether valve will unban him. Either the judge believes the kid or he/she doesn't. Maybe even the few sentences of the Finnish law that were shown are enough for him to win the lawsuit. And if he wins valve must unban him or at least let him participate in majors. It's not like valve wouldn't be forced to. And additionally to that they might have to pay a pretty big fine.
Bro, he explained this whole thing in Finnish in his stream a couple days back. What he said was that suing Valve and going to court was never an option, the suing Valve part is to get their attention, to talk to them directly. After many failed attempts, this is the last attempt to get their attention.
The thing is, regardless of who was using the account, you'd still be banned if VAC has detected a cheat or you've been Overwatch banned. Also, his account will not be VAC banned due to selling or giving away digital or retail copies of CS:GO. If his phone number was used on his friend's account, then his account will also be VAC banned as stated on VAC FAQ. Lastly, Valve is firm in its policy. If they are to let loose just a single individual, then those who where also VAC banned would also ask for their VAC to be lifted. So your statement as being unfair, no it's not. They are only fair to the community and those players who are playing the game legitimately.

My first account also got banned . They were many expensive skins . It got hacked and that got vac banned . My money went forever

"to foster a fair game that all players will enjoy." then why is your anti-cheat so bad valve? why dont you force players to download an anti-cheat like faceit and esea? you can if you want to. I have NO idea why u just dont do that. it would almost instantly force a lot of cheating services out of business because they cant currently provide cheating services on faceit and esea. i swear half the playerbase is fuckin cheating and are getting away with it cos the report system sucks.
