SIS announces new live esports betting product

by Oliver Ring

There’s another supplier that’s taken the lunge into esports betting now as Sports Information Services (“SIS”) has revealed that it will use ICE London to reveal its new esports betting product, “SIS Competitive Gaming”.

“SIS Competitive Gaming” will broadcast live head-to-head competitions between ‘skilled gamers’, with the product specifically created for sportsbooks.

The supplier has revealed there is a schedule of 15,000 live events per year that has been specifically optimised for operators globally and will feature multiple quick-fire betting opportunities, with the aim to increase customer engagement whilst providing incremental revenues to the bookmaker.

All matches are monitored by a dedicated integrity referee, trained by the Esports Integrity Coalition (“ESIC”), who will work to ensure each match is played with integrity at the forefront and to eliminate any risk of untoward activity.

SIS Competitive Gaming will be delivered to operators as an end-to-end solution, with live streamed pictures, commentary, on-screen graphics with betting triggers, data plus an extensive range of markets and prices.

SIS CEO Richard Ames said: “SIS Competitive Gaming brings a whole new esports betting experience that will resonate with existing sports bettors”.

He continued “Following extensive customer and consumer research into the current esports betting offer, our new Competitive Gaming product has been shaped specifically for betting operators, with easy to understand games, and markets that are familiar to sports bettors, which will help maximise the opportunity of this fast-growing sports sector”.

The launch of SIS’s new esports product will take place on Stand S2-180 at 12pm on Tuesday 5th February.

SIS will also be a stop on the ESI Esports Betting Tour taking place also on Tuesday, 5th February. The tour begins at 14:30 from the SBC Global booth at S3-206 and will take attendees around key stops in the esports gambling world. Sign up for free HERE.

Esports Insider says: This is a very different approach to an esports product from a supplier. Instead of targeting huge global esports competition, they will instead be using simple to understand game titles (one would assume sport simulation) to create a product that existing sports bettors will understand and not find difficult to bet on. Although many will say this doesn’t necessarily constitute esports, it could definitely provide a gentle introduction to the world of esports for punters that don’t normally dabble in it.
