Psyonix also announced that it would replace the Rocket League Spring Series (RLSS) with a replacement for the COVID-19 pandemic in the annulled Rocket League Series 9 (RLCS 9). After promising to transfer the tournament on online, Psyonix has now announced what is on the menu for fans of the Rocket League during April and May. The Rocket League Spring Series was set to take place throughout April and May.
The tournaments will feature the very first Rocket League with both promised qualifications for RLCS teams and open qualifications. The road to the DreamHack Pro Circuit for 2019 is identical, where anyone will participate, even though the new RLCS and RLRS teams are expected to take the most positions. We expect to still see some bubble teams, like DreamHack, who are on the verge of becoming a business scene.
The RLSS reward pool isn’t that shabby for an online competition. Although a fraction of the Dota 2 numbers still need to be met by the Rocket League, a 2-day $125,000 tournament prize pool is fantastic pocket money. The RLSS will host two-day tournaments with an area of one per week for a span of four weeks. The qualifications commence in 2 weeks and the first tournament will take place on 18-19 April.
