Rio 2020’s ESL One to be played on latest CSGO Patch

by Ben Hill

The promoter of the next event, the Electronic Sports League (ESL), announced that the Rio 2020 global qualifiers will be played in the new CS:GO patch. This move was officially announced by the Tournament organiser on Twitter.

The open qualifications in North America and Europe will start today, while yesterday’s update was delivered. The main improvement in three active-duty maps–Dust II, Mirage, and the Train –might be needed by players in the intermediate era.

On the Dust II and Ivy trains, the upgrade unlocked Skyboxes on the B site and Mirage got a half dozen changes throughout the region. The update calls for heavy gameplay tactics.
