ESL has been displaying their number for the last season of their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) League organiser of esports tournament and developer. Season 10 of the ESL Pro League saw a new format and an increase in tournaments lead to an increase in audience numbers.
ESL Pro League Season 10: “This year has been the best in ESL Pro League history. We are pleased that the 2019 Pro League succeeded in so many ways, “said Ulrich Schulze, ESL’s senior executive vice president in a tweet. “We’ve seen steady growth between 2017-2019 in the three years of our visit to Odense for the Danish fans, and we owe it to the incredible Danish fan base to a great extent,” he continued.
“Out of China, the content watched went up to 22,6 million hours, with the average audience growing by38,9% to 52,140 fans. The tournament spectator for its final event in Odense, Denmark boosted this statistics, where 16 teams clash with a prize pool of $600,000.
The big final matchup saw German sports organisations beat Fnatic in the best-of-five-series United Kingdom with the Intel Grand Slam on the table. The case in Odense had more than 5,000 visitors per day and 12.6 million fans tuned live. The second-largest non-major CSGO event of 2019 was observed in total of 9.7 million hours.
This would amount to a total of 68,8 million hour content if viewership included the Chinese region. During 2018, meanwhile, it was observed 44.9 million hours. Most titles and tournament organisers may post two sets of data because the methods of Chinese websites vary regularly in terms of numbers.
The statistics show however that the 10th season is the most successful season in the history of the ESL Pro League and that the Esports industry only draws more tourists.
